  1. Thanks is it something like 28 days from grant? (28 days for everything else!!)
  2. Our Onshore PR (190) application has been submitted this month which means, if immi are sticking to timescales, a Case Officer should be allocated some time in November. My question is, I need to travel out of Oz in December so can I be offshore when the visa is actually granted? Thanks
  3. Just to update. Went for medical today. As expected urine test had trace of blood but they waited half an hour, told me to drink 2 glasses of water and did it again - no trace!! So passed the urine test. Huge relief. Medical was graded A. Just waiting for chest x-ray.
  4. Hi all. Thanks for all your replies. All sorted now. Agent gave me TRN and password and I was able to log in to the health link to generate the referral letter.
  5. Thanks nikkiwd. I am in WA and the clinic here have insisted they will not accept the TRN and I must have the HAP ID. :arghh:I've phoned twice and got the agent to phone. Bit confusing if it can be done from the UK but not in Oz seeing as it's going though exactly the same system!! The clinic have said that I can get the HAP ID by ringing immigration but not sure it's that easy. I have instructed the Agent to phone Adelaide tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
  6. Hi all, does anyone know how to get the HAP ID number to do the medical before a Case Officer has been allocated. Agent has messed up cos I was going to do through the declaration process before the visa was lodged but they lodged this morning so now can't get the HAP this way. The agent is not particularly good - didnt even know there was a new medical process and kept insisting I could book with a TRN and go along with the manual forms!! Anyone got their HAP ID after lodgement but before CO? Thanks
  7. Thanks everyone for your comments. Feel a bit better about this now. Fingers crossed. Will post when I have medical done and let you know how I get on.
  8. hopefully the letter I have from urologist from 14 years ago stating no kidney or prostrate problems or anything else found will be enough. Fingers crossed!! sooooooo stressful!!!!! And no I'm not overweight - very proud of my 6 pack!!
  9. I have the letter from the urologist when the tests (including a couple under anaesthetic so pretty in depth) were done 14 years ago stating he found nothing. I saw another doctor before him who did a couple of general tests before he referred me to a urologist for further investigation as a further precaution but I don't have anything from him and he's now retired. My GP only had the urologist letter. I'm hoping the letter from the urologist who states he found nothing will be enough.
  10. Hi Rupert No, apart, from the investigations 14 years ago, there has been no need for any treatment or medication since as no actual medical condition has been identified.
  11. Hi all i have had asymptomatic microscopic hematuria (traces of red blood cells in urine) for 14 years. It was found by chance, I had a full range of tests and investigations at the time and nothing sinister was found. I had a few follow ups but then didnt have to keep going. Sometimes it's there sometimes it's not. My dad has had the same for years (he's 60 now) and my brother the same. Is the fact that I have this likely to prevent me from getting my visa? This is the final hurdle. anyone had the same and got their visa?
  12. Yes a 190 for WA. WA test is easy - you can find all the info easily. You need to get 60% for the each section but if you don't get that you just redo it. The process took literally days for the WA SS. Each thing followed daily.
  13. Took 2 weeks when lost a passport and they say a lost renewal takes 6 weeks!!
  14. Hi you don't actually need any documents for the state sponsorship. If you are going for WA they will invite you to apply through SkillSelect after you submit your EOI. The documents will be for the main visa application. Our experience of WA SS was an invite to apply the day after we submitted the EOI. There is then a questionnaire/"test" to complete which is just to make sure you have researched WA. Once that was completed we got the confirmation the next day, returned the signed form and then got the invite to apply for the actual visa the day after. So all pretty quick. In terms of funds, they don't ask for proof. Good luck.

  16. You need to apply to Trade Recognition Australia (TRA). Website http://www.innovation.gov.au. This is the hardest part of the process as have to provide so much info. OH is a painter and decorator and got his positive assessment 4 weeks ago. It's a lot of work but a lot of the information you put together for the assessment is also needed for the visa application so once you've done that you are half way there. Good luck!!
  17. Hi. What was the outcome to this? Did it get sorted? Did you have to provide statements/references? My OH had a juvenile conviction so his Police Check has come back No Live Trace as it was 14 years ago. I won't have a clue where to start with a statement or what needs to be in a reference:confused:
  18. Hi all. We will need to obtain character references as my OH had a conviction as a juvenile. Not sure where to start in writing personal statement and what others should write on his behalf. Is anyone willing to share? Thanks in anticipation.
  19. Hi froggles. You need to be able to evidence 3 years of full-time paid employment at the required skill level for your nominated occupation with at least 12 months employment in the 24 months prior to application.
  20. You will need to phone HMRC in UK. They can provide tax information for each year you need to evidence. The paperwork will show your employer and dates. Number is 0300 200 3300 ( not sure what dialling prefix is from Oz). They are open 8 till 8 mon to fri and 8 till 4 Sat (UK time).
  21. Biggy, no don't have to do IELTS (thank goodness!!) as 60 with state nomination. Need to get that in quick though as there is some rumours that WA will be introducing increased English requirements with the crieteria changes in October for some or all occupations!! So hoping I get the invite on a quick turnaround so I can get the nomination application in before the deadline. Fingers Crossed!!
  22. Thanks all but especially you Caz cos you PM'd me some examples of documents that pointed me in the right direction. One hurdle down, several more to go. Fingers crossed!!
  23. Amazing!! Received a snail mail letter to inform me that my TRA has been successful. Absolutely buzzing!! Even more amazing is that from the date of acknowledgement to the date of confirmation was 1 day short of 4 weeks!! All that hard work of evidence gathering paid off. For any Painters & Decorators out there, I know there have been alot of questions on this forum about whether an NVQ 2 is equivalent to the AQF III. Well interestingly I have both NVQ 2 & 3 and the letter confirms that they have assessed the level 2 as the equivalent. Now onto the EOI.
