Could you not post the documents to a relative in the UK, who would then repost them in a new envelope for you?

I'm trying to re-mortgage our house from ozz, we only owe 50% of whats it's worth. But we can't seem to get anyone to give us a mortgage. Any new developments on this post?

My house is rented out and I now reside in western Australia. A suburb called mullaloo. Love it here, but finding it hard to get employment.

I'm from the uk, so it's a low risk country. I'm heading to western Australia in January.

I am waiting for the final yay or nay! They received our medicals on the 12/11/13 and police checks on 7/11/13. I am also using an agent.

We have now been allocated a case officer. They are requesting evidence of my overseas qualifications. The agent said there's non problem, as this had to be provided to TRA while they were doing there assessment.

Our agent applied on the 2nd July. 60 points on a 189 visa. So I hope we get an invite.

Thank you! I need all the help I can get at the moment, The mrs is cooling on the idea of emigrating, due to the lack of responses i am having, when applying for jobs from over the pond. I can understand her concern as we have a young family and it is a massive step. That's easily said! All I seem to find is recruitment agents!

Thank you for that information, but I have also done this search! there seem to lots of lighting sales jobs, but nothing specific to lighting design. I put the above request out to see if there was any lighting engineers on the forums who might know how to go about promoting yourself before I emigrate. Though I specialise in lighting design, I'm currently employed as an Electrical Engineer, so it looks like I will have to continue being an electrical engineer, as the demand seems higher in this field.

I specialise in interior & exterior lighting design, is there much work for a lighting designer in ozz?

We travelled all around Ozz. We spent a week in Mandurah, then drove from Adelaide to Melbourne and then on to Canberra, up to Brisbane for a week, then on to Cairns- port Douglas for 5 nights. So we did travel a bit round Ozz.

Hello there! I have thought of emigrating to Australia for the last few years, but my wife wasn't too great on the idea! But over the last year she has changed her mind, might be from me grinding her down about where we live.:wink: I am a 36 year old Electrical Design Engineer with 12 years experience from South Wales. I'm married with two young children aged 4 and 7. The wife has been has been an housewife for the past 7 years and in her spare time she makes novelty birthday cakes. Why am i coming to OZZ? We are an outdoor family, that enjoy family time, picnics, camping, going to the beach and barbecues. Cant get much of this where we live, well not this year any-ways. This combined with the employment opportunities, have given us more drive to achieve our goal of getting to ozz. Having recently spent a month travelling around Australia on a reccy, it was evident that we seemed more comfortable in Western Australia, and this is where we are looking to go, but if a job opportunity arises elsewhere, then that's where we will be going.
