  1. I paid for another copy of my marriage cert from the registra. Ordered it online and cost about £20. It was sent back to me too.
  2. If you download the application form from AHPRA all the costs and information they require are at the back of the form. There is a checklist for all the documents they want too.
  3. I'm not exactly what they sent, I emailed them and listed what was needed for criteria 8 and they sent it direct with my transcript and accreditation letter. They have probably done this numerous times for others. Good luck with your application.
  4. Nurse with degree. Can't quite believe that it was so straight forward. Hope that's a sign for the future move.
  5. AHPRA registration pending Id came through today. That's just 5weeks from receipt of documents. I'm over the moon.
  6. After an email from AHPRA requesting more documentation, all paperwork is now complete and my file has progressed. Not sure what this means in the grand scheme of things but it does mean that there is nothing else I can do other than try to be patient. Difficult to do as I had my 489 visa granted yesterday
  7. Is there anyone else that can put their recent time frames please.
  8. I know there have been huge waits for diploma nurses but I was just wondering how long it's taking for AHPRA to process applications from degree nurses.
  9. Hi pinknurse, congratulations on the job offer. Can I ask where community nurse jobs are advertised please thanks x
  10. I have same role as you and I used the medical nurse code. It's only for visa purposes and does not determine where you can work when in Oz.
  11. Sharon and Ken and two sons 10 + 13. Moving to mid north coast of NSW on a 489 visa. Still waiting for visa but hope will be granted soon. I'm a degree adult nurse, ken is a commercial vehicle repairer. House going on the market in the spring and if all goes to plan would like to be Australia bound by Sept at the latest. Even though my driving force for this is for a different lifestyle for my children I'm feeling really guilty about the challenges that they will have settling in. Thats me and my story x
  12. What about South Wales. Chepstow is just over the Severn bridge from Bristol. A lovely town on the banks of the river wye with lots of cultural activities going on in the community. Easy access to motorways m4, m5 and close to regional airports cardiff and Bristol. I'm selling a 3 bed semi if you interested lol.
  13. Hi Kayleigh i really need to start my AHPRA application too so I'm no help at the moment. Didn't you do the ielts for ANMAC? sharon x
  14. After a big long list of hoops to jump through, I have finally reached the end and my agent sent of our visa application today. The region we will be heading for is the Mid North Coast of NSW. I am a nurse, my husband is a vehicle body repairer and we have two sons aged 10 and 13. Hope to come over August 2015. Time to play the waiting game now, though I do have my AHPRA registration to keep me busy.
  15. Check out the site for regional development australia http://www.rdamnc.org. One of the regions sponsoring 489 visas is the mid north coast which is the area I will be heading when successful with 489 visa.
  16. I qualified the same time as you and have only been in my position for 10 months to date. I was all researched up to going to SA but because of this criteria it was no longer an option for me. I was really disappointed so just had to change my plans. NSW do not require you to have 2 years experience post qualifying but there are only about 6 regional areas that are taking 489 SRS. The only coastal area is the mid north coast which luckily is a beautiful area and also affordable. I put in an EOI 1st of Sept and two weeks later received notification that they would be pleased to accept an invitation from me. Yeah!!!!! I'm now finalising my commitment statements and hope to have application in early next week (via my emigration agent). EEEEEEKKKKKK!!!!! The only other state sponsoring, without the two years experience criteria, is Northern Territory.
  17. Hi Cherries This is the problem that I had, same age, similar experience. With most states requiring two years experience I've had to change my plans and after EOI to regional nsw have been invited to apply. Will have to live/work in mid north coast which luckily is a beautiful area with great opportunities. Starting to get nervous/excited now.
  18. I am planning on bringing a fiat Duccatto motorhome from the UK to OZ , my concerns are: are these vans in Australia? if so how common are they? Cost and best way to do it? Best shipping company? Cleaning of the van ? What is safe to put in van? Please help us out with any advice or tips you may have:biggrin:
  19. I've been stalking this site for months now but feel the time has come to introduce myself. With my husband we travelled Australia in 1996 for a year and totally fell in love with the country. Basically bought a station wagon in Cairns and sold it in Perth having had lots of adventures in-between. Got to see a lot of Oz but favourite place to live would be Queensland. So I am 43, husband is 44 and we have two sons 9 & 12. I have just qualified as a nurse and we are going for a regional state sponsorship. It appears that WA and Queensland are no longer an option due to the visa changes from today, so we will have to think about maybe Victoria or SA. Any input, advice, recommendation gratefully received.
