1. Do you want to appeal the decision? It may work.

Hi Samir, extremely sorry about the late response. I never checked the Visitor Messages part in the Pomsinoz profile and today accidentally came across your post.

WA job market is less competitive than VIC and NSW. I have lived in VIC for 8 years and my attempts to land a HR job was fruitless. Companies over here rarely provide sponsorship to 485 visa holders, unless you are from UK, US and have 5+ experience from that country.

 3. There are a number of things that the immigration would consider for the MPhil research experience as a working experience. 1) Is your experience a paid experience with 38-40 hours per week work? 2) How relevent is the MPhil research experience with the occupation migration assessment that you have completed? If both question answers are positive. Gather the payslips of the experience, contract of employment and a job description from the university/employer to submit with your PR visa application.
 4. Check the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) and Consolidated Skilled Occupation List (CSOL) in http://www.immi.gov.au You would need to apply for a Subclass 189 (SOL) or 190 (CSOL) if your skill is in one of the occupation lists. Good luck
 5. I would strongly suggest to avoid the agent. I did the whole process myself by reading the forms. Its super straight forward. Save the AUD $9k. It's literally an exploitation of little-known candidates by the agents..
 6. Pregnancy wouldn't be an issue. Just notify the doctor during the visa medicals. If you have submitted a Student Visa application and a subclass 190 as well, the visa's get processed separately. By reading your post, it sounds like you're just plain stressing on thinking about the future .. take it easy..
 7. I travelled from VIC to WA and stayed here to complete my 1 year job experience to get my skills assessed. I had this worry each day for a year and a half living in WA that my skilled occupation may be taken of the WA list. Finally it didn't, got the skills assessed through VETASSESS (HR Advisor) and got WA SS. My opinion would be, get your skills assessed. VETASSESS can take uptil 3-4 months to notify about your skills assessment. When the skills are assessed, you'll have more leverage to go for any state that has your occupation.
 8. Mirwais... do you know when the baby is due to be born?
 9. Booked in an appointment with Medibank for immigration medical with HIV test. And provided them with my TRN from application. And then medibank sent off the results to immigration... and when the CO was allocated, he got all the documents... I also did the PCC for overseas and Australia beforehand as well...
 10. Did my medicals before the CO was assigned.... wanted to get ahead...
 11. Got the visa grant today!!! finally!!!!
 12. Visa grant in 6 months is the general timeline from the date CO gets allocated. However, it gets processed faster (within 1 month of CO allocation) depending on the backlog of DIAC..
 13. uploaded the requested docs by CO on 20 August 2013... received automatic email confirmation saying that CO will be in touch by 7 working days. So that should be by 30 August 2013.... hate this waiting game :-\
 14. Latest from me- CO contacted on 15/08/2013 asking for- My Australian Work Experience- - Employment References - Selection of payslips - ATO tax assessments - Group Certificates For my partner- - Photos of wedding ceremony - confirmation when shared residence began I don't get the point of my further documents of Australian work experience info as I submitted the point test letter from VETASSESS. It seems that that letter is not accepted by DIAC case officers. Darn, shouldn't have spent around a $100 behind that letter from VETASSESS :-\
