My husband and I are both nurses, looking to apply for a 189 working visa (I think? This seems like the best option to me).
My husband will be the main applicant as he is the primary earner in our family - he needs to get 7 in the IELTS to have enough points.
My question is, do I need to the IELTS as well? I read on the site that if you are from the EU you automatically get 'competent'. Is this is the English Language proficiency? It seems to be quite contradictory, in one sentence it says all international nurses have to do it, then in another it says about the EU and competences.
If i've read that correctly, will I still be able to work in Australia if I register through anmac but don't have the full 60 points for the visa myself? I can get a visa through my husband.
It's all very confusing. Can someone please help? Thanks!
