  2. Hi. Just done my carpenter practical test there on Saturday so eagerly awaiting my results by email. Once thats passed, is the next step the eoi for SS 190 visa? and I seem to have found that it is 3420 pounds to lodge this. Is this correct? I didn't think it was as much as that. Cheers
  3. This might be posted in the wrong section! But for me it's certainly a migration issue! having failed my ielts twice , both by 0.5 on writing(need 7's) can anyone give me a few quick pointers on writing a good essay. I've joined a daily ielts blog, and have researched and practised but if anyone has some tips that would be great. Unsure if I definetly qualify for the 190 so wanting to complete this ielts incase I need to go for 189 cheers
  4. Hi folks. How's everyone getting on? Ive my practical assessment for caroentry in a couple if weeks. Once this issue and passed, what is my next step with regards to applying for the 190SS visa? If anyone can explain my next step after the practical I would be grateful. And approximately what's the timescale for hearing back from WA SS? Cheers

Diploma completed in Australia, trade qualification completed in Australia, or qualification or award of recognised standard 10 points and if SS gives you 5points....do you need 60 BEFORE EOI? or 55, with the 5 for SS added on? Cant get my head around this now!!

  12. Ill have all evidence, basically was all that I sent away to vettasses for first part proof of employment etc. ok mate. just away to book the practical as we speak. thanks for yourt help
  13. Mxmanus. calm down m8 gbuss, thanks for your reply. when you say tick all the boxes, what do you mean? how would SS go about happening? complete the next stage of vettassess skills assesment , then they would contact myself?? thanks again for any help

I just completed a points test online, and without scoring any points for the IELTS it says I have 60points and therefore qualify for the 190 visa through state sponsorship?? is this correct/?? I have tried and not gained 7's TWICE for writing in the ielts....have I been wasting my time doing it?? any help greatly received
  15. Ive worked out i have 45 points, and when I finally pass the ielts i'll have 55.....so what happens there? I have to apply to WA for state sponsorship?? As far as i can see I need 65?? Help!! 33year old carpenter. over 10years in trade year working in oz 7's in ielts sister lives there (does this help?)

  17. 60 points is all you need??? For what??? Are u sure??? I have 60, thought u have to do my ielts anyway???? Can anyone advise me on this??? im a 33yeat old carpenter, have passed first stage vettassess etc. have work experience needed. If I don't need ielts then I've been wasting time and money!!!

  19. I've sat and not passed twice after getting 6.5 for writing both tines(need 7). Booked up again but can see this being a pain in the backside. It's unfair I think as after getting 9's and 8.5's for the other sections both times, and being born and bred British it seems a bit harsh to have to keep taking. If they could explain what I'm doing wrong as well would help!! Good luck with your visa
