Bought a load of clear plastic containers as our packers said thats fine, as they can see whats in them, not on the inventory and hence wrap and seal them up for the trip..

Do agree that a change is good as a rest, humans are inherently migrant, and we move to different locations for that reason, so history does support the good and bad, and do really appreciate PIOZ posters sharing for others to read

How to find out if our phones will work in Oz?

We have Orange and O2 contract phones,both comming to the end of contract and Motorola Defy and Iphone 4 worked well in OZ, but to avoid the sting for roaming cost bought a Vodafone sim, which we got varible service, so would be careful to check the coverage of your chosen provider is usable in your work,home,hobbie location. I side suggestion is to go for a dual sim phone, they are unlocked so you can install your UK and OZ sim in the same phone and are online at the same time... -
Just think what you need to take with you for a long holiday, thats the way to start..
