  1. Good News! How long do you have to pay the 2nd VAC? Hoping to hear something soon as well. I have a curvy one. Mom is here and Dad in NZ.
  2. Hi Big trev You guys have been asked to pay the second VAC for 143? Really? There are a a few people in this forum who have also paid the secind VAC but have been waiting for the GRANT. I wonder what that entails as the borders are still closed, 4000 capping on people returning from overseas. They shouldnt be askig for secind VAC unless they are ready to grant the visa soon enough. Will be keen to know what happens .....
  3. Hi All & @Alan Collett So I was a bit confused as to what to do with my Mom's 1 year arrival in Australia anniversary which was coming up end of August 2020. She does not have the 8558 condition but has 12 months visit on each arrival. Her current visa was not going to expire until June 2021. I decided to apply for a new Visitor Visa (600). When I lodged the application online today and paid the fee. I got automatic application received notification as well as a notification for grant of a Bridging A Visa while they process my Mom’s visitor Visa (600). Also note that the Bridging Visa A letter says .... Visitor Visa: Active, Bridging A Visa: Not Active. I have a feeling we would have gotten away without doing anything until the department informed us that my mom has exceded her stay or has become a non-genuine resident; but we arent taking any chances! Note: My Mom (in Aus at the moment), and my Dad (In NZ at the moment, he couldn’t get back before the border closure) are both at the point of “Second Vac” payment. I hope this information is useful. Thank you all for your contribution to this page! All the best!
  4. @cfernandes This a great. But it might be good if you have your own reply from the department so you can use it as an evidence later for your own circumstances.
  5. Thanks Alan. Filled 1005, 956A Lets see what happens. I have filled out the ONLINE 600 (as a backup) already but will send in this one as a paper application. Cheers!
  6. Thanks @Alan Collett Yes I am aware she needs to leave to get her 143. I think I am going to take a punt and apply for a BVA, using it as a futher stay application. Will update you on the results.
  7. @cfernandes If one year expires they will have overstayed as per 8558 if they dont leave Australia or apply for another visa. Again - this is my understanding and I am just reading inbetween the lines. No visa expert.
  8. Hi @Alan Collett Thanks for your response. My Mom does not have visa condition 8558 on her Visa. Length of stay as mention per the visa is: Length of stay 12 month(s) from the date of each arrival BVA should be granted to my Mom because she is awaiting result of 143 Visa and also holds a valid 600. First I thought to apply for another 600 Visa but then she is already on-shore and does not have 8558 or 8503.
  9. Thanks @cfernandes I am no Visa expoert but from what I read from your comment. 8558 condition (12 months stay in 18 months). This is a condition in visa and the visa holder needs to comply unless they have applied for another visa which lets them stay longer otherwise the visa holder has overstayed. Now since your in-laws dont have an 8503, it means they can apply for a new visa without waiver of the 8503. I am going to apply for a BVA before my Mom's 12 month period is up, because she holds substantive visa 600 and has applied for a substantive visa 143 The only contitions my mom has on her visa are 8101 (no work), 8201 (max 3 months study) I hope this helps! Cheers.
  10. Hi Nat & Others. Has anyone here got parents on-shore in Australia and are waiting for the 143 approval final stage? My Mom is here and we have also submitted all DOCs and have been waiting for CoVid situation to improve so they progress my parents application, but on 29 Aug 2020 she will complete 1year in Australia and needs to leave the country before that date/unless I apply another visa (not sure). Currently she has 600 Tourist Visa which allows her to stay in Australia 1 year on every visit which expires next year in June. Does anyone have some idea how to go about getting her to stay here in Australia as it isnt safe to travel anywhere at the moment? Thanks!
  11. Congratulations! Maybe the only 143 Visa grant in this forum since COVID. I am hoping to hear something soon too for my parents.
  12. Great. Let's see what happens with Trans-Tasman Travel bubble. Or even better they may just give PR to people who are here in OZ (waiting for 143......for ....... very very long) and not make them leave the country to get the PR. FYI - My Mom is here and Dad is in NZ.
  13. Hi @Kathss56 Would you mind telling which country you are currently residing at the moment?
  14. Hi Everyone. Anyone here has been asked to fill form 815? It means **** You must contact the Health Undertaking Service (HUS) within 4 weeks of your arrival in Australia **** I just got a request today for it.
  15. Hi - yes it is a great news but as you may know that things are on hold for people on final stages of visa until end of May and then reviewed. AOS is purely a CENTRELINK process which is independent of DIBP. DIBP needs a positive outcome from CENTRELINK for AOS and that’s what we have.
  16. AOS application accepted on 03/04/2020 (just got MyGov notification).
  17. Thanks! & Ofcourse - we just want to be decision ready. As we were discussing - I would like to pay the second VAC closer to when the Borders are open and commercial flight operators are again in business (maybe they wont even ask until that time comes). For now - Stay at home and stay safe! I had to do the Bank Guarantee as the letter stated I had 14 days to get it done.
  18. That's it! MY GOV > CENTRELINK > Documents & Appointments > UPLOAD DOCUMENTS > CENTRELINK FORM Q769
  19. Okay! So this means if I get asked to pay the second VAC fee I should try to get an extension or pay it close to when it is required. If this goes on for 6months DIBP would have the 2nd VAC without giving the visa for a long time!
  20. Thanks Kath. I have a CBA account and I will take my Drivers Licence. This is why I like this forum. The information you provided isnt anywhere on the letter. Yes there is a bar code; so now I know what I need to do exactly. So many thanks to you! "you upload it to Centrelink, under “upload documents,” then select “Centrelink form” scan or manually add the bar code on the top of Centrelink letter, it will then say upload bank certificate. Then await AoS approval."
  21. Just got the letter to provide AOS BOND. It doesnt not say how to provide this bond to centrelink. CBA will know what to do?
  22. Thanks! Now it makes sense. I got an CENTRELINK SMS Tuesday evening 6:51pm 24/03/2020 saying "A Services Australia Service Officer will call you today from a Private Number. Please answer this call" I thought it was a bit late for a call but then I never got the call but had an updated status online AOS Application Completed. Waiting for the letter to be emailed sometime but dont know what is going to happen given how many people would want to use CENTRELINK at present.
  23. Thats great. Assuming there wasnt a coronavirus going on right now..... I am wondering at what stage do I get asked to provide a bond. Will I get an email from DIBP?
  24. Thanks!!! You seem to have made it to Sydney. Must be in self isolation I assume.
