  1. I have no idea why some applications are processed in a weeks time and some they work on for months... I bet it must be annoying to wait without even knowing why:/ especially if you paid them so much money and they don't even answer emails.
  2. We are also a Polish family (at least in half:) emigrating to Australia. We didn't have any problems in processing of our visas, so the delay is definitely not because of the nationality but because of some individual circumstances. I also have good experience with Australian Embassy in Berlin, they gave us visa stamps within one week!
  3. I am moving to Melbourne in December this year! I have never been in Australia, but my hopes are very high:)
  4. Congratulations!!! btw- are you able to view your grant letter?? I have tried different browsers but still the pdf viewer opens but the file is kind of empty and it says "not a pdf file or pdf corrupted"...
  5. I guess I just can't believe it is finally over and that I managed to do that! Me and hubby started discussing moving to aus more than a few years ago and at last it is happening! But I really should now stop checking the forum and concentrate on my phd or else I will have to postpone my move.... Good luck again!
  6. Thanks! Don't worry about medicals being "reviewed by Global Health" that is a normal processing and should not take long. You should get your visa in a week or two after submitting the last document. Although some cases take longer to finalized if CO are too precise and check every single document. Still, your work is over, now you just wait:) Why are you worried about the July changes? I though these only affect people that submit application after 1st July? All the other cases should be processed normally or even faster...
  7. I got my visa 8 days ago, but I still can not download my grant letter:mad:
  8. My CO was from team 31 Brisbane - her initials were M.M. She was pretty quick and I got my visa only a week after submitting the last document. Good luck!
  9. Yes, the passport and grant letter should be more than enough. But I have a problem with printing (or even viewing) my grant letter, does anybody know if it is really needed? Or maybe the grant notice from CO will suffice? Or should I ask my CO to send me the grant letters by email?
  10. Thanks so much guys! Maggie - My CO emailed my smt like "The MOC is reviewing your medical case" and then she asked me to submit all documents so that she can prioritize my case - and after 2 weeks I got the grant. I think it does not take much time for the referral cases anymore...
  11. Actually we were granted our visas this morning! Exactly 2months after application and 2 weeks after submitting the last requested document (partners ielts)! Very very happy! We are going to Melbourne, probably by the end of 2013. i am sure you will get your visas in no time now, they are processing everything ver fast now - my case was reviewed by MOC but still got the grant fast. Good luck!
  12. You can call a clinic, but they might not tell you anything... According to "Instructions for Panel Doctors" you should get an A grade unless you are or have been seriously ill. Don't worry too much, it's best to just patiently wait for the CO to contact you...
  13. The link should (but might not) disappear after a week or two after medicals... For me and hubby it was gone few days after medicals and I confirmed with the clinic that it was the day they uploaded the results. But for some people it never disappears because of some system bugs. If you are worried you can 1. call the clinic and make sure that all the results were submitted 2. e-mail your CO asking the status of your medicals 3. email Health Strategies (including your TRN, DoB and Passport#) and ask if they have received the results (but they might not replay at all or say that you should ask your CO). As for form 80 - if you have uploaded it and it is listed under your name, your CO should be able to open it. You can always attach it to an email and send to your CO. Remember that most of the CO do not reply to emails unless its something important (like requesting docs or giving a grant:) ) best of luck to you!
  14. Congrats!!! All the best for the future!
  15. if it is huge or was done very poorly (like by amateur) they can ask for additional tests like hepB or hepC blood tests. But for a normal tattoo I doubt you will get any problems (like B grading of your medicals).
  16. My CO has never asked me for any additional proof... I just submitted my marriage certificate and some travel itineraries (only the ones that were in English) and that was enough (thankfully as I would have to translate any other document). Also, the spouse name is not normally added to German (nor Polish) passports. But I have been married for 2 years now, so maybe that is why...
  17. The 28 days lapsed yesterday for me:) But maybe you are right and it's better to wait at least 7 days and see if CO replies...
  18. I have also inquired to IOM for a flight deals from Germany, but they don't look good... The flights are either with Emirates/Qantas (30kg baggage) or with Qatar Airways (35kg baggage) and the prices match the ones on airlines websites... I was hoping for 40kg baggage, but it seems like from Germany they don't have any good deals:/
  19. I also applied in April... I am considering calling DIAC tomorrow, can't stand waiting and not knowing how long it might take any longer:confused: I'll be feeling better when I know whether it's gonna be few months or few days to get our visas. My CO is (as usually) not responding:/
  20. Congrats to everybody who got their grants! So many cases have been finalized within the last 2 days, maybe it is a good sign for the rest of us that applied in May!
  21. By post? That is really strange... Have you filled the medical forms via e-visa page and had the referral letter with you? I had the same problem (clinic could not upload medicals as they couldn't locate the e-health file for my husband), but after I gave them a health_ID (or whatever it is called) they uploaded them right away...
  22. Thanks for good wishes! Hopefully everyone who applied in May will get their visas before July!
  23. The status of my requested docs changed to "received" after submitting, but I think that happens automatically... on the other hand the status for Health is still requested, even though the links for organizing medicals disappeared long ago... I think it depends on CO to change the statuses. Maybe next week is too good to be true, but within this month will still be ok:biggrin:
  24. A little update on my case - just received my husband's IELTS results; he got overall 5.5, needed 4.5 so everything ok:) Everything else, including medicals was cleared during this week. I will submit the document to CO tomorrow and hopefully next week will get the visas!
  25. Great result!! My husband also took his IELTS on 25 May but there are still no results visible:( I feel that German test centers are taking always longer to process the results than any other:/ Or maybe it the time change...
