  1. I do love my children, want them to be with me. What can i do ?
  2. You're a good bloke parleycross.
  3. No I am who I say I am no need to have conspiracy theories on here.
  4. Wishing I could undo the past. Had a fantastic job in Australia which i loved and the house everything was perfect.
  5. Anyone see/hear the lightning storm in Melbourne on Monday morning. What a show. Sounded like a shotgun blast at 2 am.Got up and couldn't believe the lightning strikes. Amazing to see. !!!!!
  6. Yes I tried to do the right thing and give blood. I went into the centre and said "I'd like to be a blood donnor!!!" The lady replied me "Great!!!, Come in come in. Just need you to fill out these forms. ". After half an hour of completing forms I was faced with the terrible question "So, have you lived in the UK between 1980 and 1986". "Errrrm, yes I replied". "How, long were you there for ?" She asked". "Errm, I kinda grew up there". "Oh, sorry you're not eligable". "RACIST!!!!!!!".
  7. If you went back to England for work, then why would you go to the trouble of getting citizenship ? You obviously don't want to be here, and you wouldnt apply if you had a job.
  8. I think they should introduce a rule to say that if you do get citizenship you should stay in Austalia for at least another year. Getting it to simply move abroad after taking an oath is hypocritical (and Ive done it and I'm a hypocrit too). You do pledge an oath to Australia, so you should be expected to stay here. If you commited to the country, you should get citizenship as soon as you can. Then live here for a defnite period.
  9. The fact I split the family up making the family miserable in the process. You should see the pictures of us before we left Australia, we were smiling away, everything was rosey. As I say, we went back to England on a whim, that was all. Don't even know who wanted to do it now.
  10. No we went back cause we had marriage problems, or something triggered it, perhaps the heat or something. Living in the hills, the commute to work, something happened.
  11. Aunt Agatha, any thought of being slightly hypocritical moving back to UK after getting Passports/Citizenship. It's always strange hearing people do that (as we did), like we came, we saw, we conquered, we buggered off LOL.
  12. Sorry Agatha, I didnt mean to be funny about things.
  13. whose brother are we talking about ? I didnt have a job in England to go to so why the **** did I go back for ??????
  14. I am suffering. I don't know what to do for the best. I long for the life we gave up here, so annoyed with myself, devestated at what we did. The kids were happy in Australia.
  15. I don't know how i could have made that decision. Why did i f*cking go back
  16. I am opposite to you, as I don't see any positives about living in UK anymore (lower wages, too many people, horrible commuting IMHO) You may fall into the same trap as I did ,of (literally) the grass is always greener. It is not. If you have had enough of the sun, take a winter holiday. Your lifestyle and stability is not worth risking because of homesickness. I threw aways everything we'd worked hard for here, cause of f*cking homesickness. My sister deals with it by taking regular visits "back home" to UK (every 1 or 2 years). I say to her, "Debbie, if you like going back to UK why don't you live there?". She replies, "I love going back for a holiday, but I could never live back there". She has a nice confortable life in Melbourne, good job, lots of money, nice house. Why would she leave ????
  17. Not far from being onthe street, from being Team Lead at A University
  18. I do know the meaning of poverty now. I've done that to us. Sold everything on a whim and landed back in UK given up great jobs here. How could i have done something so f*cking stupid/.
  19. 3 years to get us to Oz, stayed 4 years, then went back on a whim. Just crazy, what the hell were we thinking. Those poor kids growing up in poverty now, when we gave them the best of everything here in Australia.
  20. I didnt instigate the move, she did.
  21. Trying to just she wont come back with the kids. I can't understand why she can be so cruel.
  22. Thanks mate, yes i wish i hadnt gone back to blighty.
