    @nitzhow can u be so confident in saying that they will start granting visa 143 for offshore applicant if the borders remain closed till mid next year ? It looks like the govt wants to limit people entering the country till a vaccine is found so I don’t see any basis of your argument as Australia would take necessary actions to protect its current residence. It is sad news for all us 143 applicants but it is the harsh reality.

    Scott Morrison mentioned the other day that the international borders might not open till mid(July)2021 which would mean no parent visa 143 grant till mid next year. This is such a sad news for all parent visa 143 applicant

    @Daniel Adcthanks for replying back. When did your parents get asked for 2nd instalment Vac was it after the border closed down in March 20? We have applied in Jan 16 but still waiting for the 2nd instalment email. Look forward to hearing from you. thanks

    @Daniel AdcCan i ask if you are currently onshore or offshore at the moment and when did you apply for visa 143? And also when did you get asked for 2nd Vaq as i understand currently they are not finalising visa 143 from what i am hearing from the forum here.

    Has the department started issuing offshore parent visa now or they still waiting for borders to open up? I think someone mentioned on another thread that they might have removed the statement about putting the parent visa finalisation on hold, can anyone confirm this?

    @cfernandes thank for the assurance. I am sure after taking the large payment for the 2nd vac they wont cancel the visa after signing form 815 like it wont seem right

    @MELBNGSM we got the form 815 request to fill up few weeks ago too. We filled it up and sent it back. Do you think that might cause a problem and also is there a possibility of visa getting rejected/cancelled after making the 2nd vac payment and initially getting the grant and then later after travelling to Aus and doing the test with HUS where they decide the medicals requirement cannot be satisfied, will that lead to cancelling of the visa 143 and loss of approx $43k?? Any inputs or feedback on that will be much appreciated

    @VLongAre u onshore at the moment? i am a bit confused your signature says you applied for visa 173 or is that a typo mistake? it would be good to know if they have started asking for 2nd Vac for visa 143 for applicant who are offshore(outside Australia).

    any one who received form 884 for a specialist checkup after the normal medical check up, had any issues with clearing the medical requirements?

    Hi, has anyone received FORM 884: OPINION OF A MEDICAL OFFICER OF THE COMMONWEALTH after doing the medical test for parent visa 143. Is this considered a very serious matter if i never had tuberculosis ever ?

    Hi All, I am trying to get an australian federal police check(AFP) for my parents done for the visa 143. I am having a hard time figuring out what identity documents should i submit to complete the 100 point identification requirement as they live overseas. The only identification document that sort of fits the list as per the AFP website is there overseas passport: https://www.afp.gov.au/what-we-do/services/criminal-records/national-police-checks#contact Also do the parents need to submit finger prints for AFP check for the visa 143. Any help or advice will be much appreciated.

    @theballiesHi , can i ask if you did the paper application to WA parent visa section? and also on the email you received on 27th Jan 2016, there should be 2 pdf files, one pdf file which is called "IMMI acknowledgement of Application received". In that pdf may i know whats the date on the first page next to "Date of Visa application"? My email came thru on 27th Jan 2016 and has a date of date of visa application as 27th Jan 2016 and i still have not received the email for further docs

    @theballiesdid u get the further docs email yet? i think from what ive read people who have applied till 14th Jan 2016 have received it if i am not mistaken?

    did they start with Jan 16 applicants yet? all of a sudden dept has gone quiet with the visa 143 movement?

    it looks like things have really gone quiet, havent heard anyone from Jan 2016 receiving further docs emails. Hope it doesn't take the immigration dept another 1 year to move forward 1 months application.

    yeh i was thinking maybe someone from Jan 2016 might have received an email with the speed the immi dept is flying through files in the last few weeks. Anyways fingers crossed hoping we can hear that good news soon

    A question relating to assurance of support assurers income. Is the new single assurers limit of $88,291 based on assessable income or taxable income. As my son works for QLD health and he has salary sacrifice which includes fringe benefits, is that considered part of income for AOS income test??

    yeh its been 2 years and 10 months, from what i can read from dept website, the wait time is around 3 years so my question is about the new AOS rules which kicked in from 1 april 18 where by in order for a single person to sponsor parents he has to be earning 87K per annum, so does this rule apply to exisiting parent visa 143 candidate?

    Hi, Does anyone know if the new AOS rules introduced from 1 April 2018 would apply to existing parent visa 143 applicant ? I am a bit concerned as we have been waiting for more then 2 years now and we are very close to be assigned a case officer and there is a good possibility we might be declined as my main sponsor per annum income will fall short of the new requirements. Any feedback will be highly appreciated
