@deeepakramanath...hi buddy the bridging visa A granted prior to PR is considered in the citizenship requirement of lawful residence, you can check the link here and read for your own satisfaction: http://www.australianmigrations.com/visa_citizenship_rrt.htm , and if it helps i read it on this forum previously some guy who lawfully resided in austtralia for 4 yrs..with 2 yrs on bridging visa prior to his gsm pr visa was succesfully granted citizenship..soo i think u shud be okay!

ohhh..i checked on dept website..i think there gold coast office is currently closed..so have no other option but to wait.

@calNgary..thank y for replying, do you know when she applied for the citizenship?? i say this because u can only change your test appontment on phone once you've receive a test invitation letter? i applied online in the last week of feb'12 and havent received any letter from dept so called the department few times in regards to my application..they told me the brisbane office has been swamped with applications are trying to rrespond to them in the fastest manner.

hi, wondering if anyone has applied for citizenship in 2012 to the brisbane office and have received invitation letter for test? I have applied in feb '12...next week it will be almost 2 months, and i havent received a test invitation yet is that normal ? if someone can shed some information. thanks in advance

hi, i uploaded my form 1195 with both sides of my attested picture. Its been over 3 weeks since i applied online, havent received any test inviation letter , did some researching and it seems people usually get a test inviation after 10-14 days of applying. I think ill have to visit one of there offices next week and find out the status of my app
