  1. No problem, Mummy Mann. I think AHPRA have changed their paperwork since I submitted my application back in May 2011 but I'm still more than willing to help. Just PM me any questions and I'll see what I can do.
  2. Thanks, SHandGH. Of course. Name: wazza19 Destination: Sydney Date of visa application: 24/06/2011 Nationality: British High/Low Risk: LR Trade/Profession: Registered Nurse (Critical Care & Emergency) (254415) Visa type: 175 Onshore/Offshore: Offshore Post 14th July category: 4 Medicals submitted: 02/02/2012 Police check submitted: UKPC: 02/02/2012, AFP NPC: 08/02/2102 Date CO assigned: 23/01/2012 Date visa granted: 21/02/2012 If anyone has any questions about their application (e.g. ANMAC, AHPRA, police checks, medicals, Form 80) that I could help with, having just gone through the process myself without an agent, please feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help.
  3. Good news! My 175 visa application submitted electronically on the 24 June 2011 was granted late on Monday night (UK time).:jiggy: I was contacted by a case officer from Team 2 on the 23rd January 2012 and asked to attend a medical; provide a chest x-ray, HIV blood test, Form 80 and police checks from the UK and Australia (as I'd previously spent a year there on a WHV). The medical/chest x-ray/HIV blood test at The Spire Manchester Hospital were very straightforward. I spoke to a friendly lady who offered me a choice of appointments (including the next day!), paid over the telephone without a problem and details arrived in the post the next day. There was limited but free parking outside the hospital and I was in and out in an hour. My medical appeared on my application status two days later. The UK police check came back quickly (I used the £35 standard service) and although I'd confessed all to my case officer about my speeding fines (!) these did not show on my police check. The staff at The Australian Federal Police were very helpful via email and responded quickly to my query to say that my certificate was on its way. (It took about three weeks from posting it to Canberra to receiving it back.) I uploaded these and Form 80 on Saturday 18th February 2012 and my visa was granted last night with no further requests. I've just sent my passport and a copy of my visa grant letter to The Australian High Commission in London (to attach a visa label) as there was a message on my DIAC application page to do so. My application status now reads 'Applicant Approved' although all my documents still show as 'required'! My entry date has been backdated to the date my medical was uploaded and so I must activate the visa before the 2nd February 2013! Thanks again to this site for helping me. I found it fairly easy to do without an agent although I appreciate it would have been much harder had my application been more complicated. Good luck to everyone else with their applications.
  4. Hey, This is my first post on here so please bear with me! First of all, I've found this forum to be very helpful with my visa application, especially because I haven't used an agent so thank you. I was disheartened after Monday's DIAC update so was very surprised (That's a lie: I was shaking and crying!) when an email arrived on Monday night from my case officer requesting police checks, medicals and form 80. (My application status now shows 'application being processed further' but all my documents still show as 'required' or 'outstanding'.) I applied online (offshore) for a 175 visa on the 24th June 2011 after a six month wait for my skills assessment with ANMAC. I also received my AHPRA eligibility letter through last week after a nine month wait! (My application had been sent from Sydney to Adelaide due to 'resource issues.') Sorry it took me a while to post this on here but I've been busy organising my police checks and medical (that I'd been intending on frontloading this week anyway)! HSBC (I have an account there) charged me £20 for an international money order but I was able to pick it up the same day. (I spent a year on a WHV so needed the Australian police check.) Had a few problems trying to book my medical today at a clinic in Manchester who wouldn't let me book without a HID/HAP. I rang another clinic in Manchester, who are currently offering a reduced rate and got an appointment on Tuesday without a HID/HAP! I'm going to be emigrating on my own, which either makes me brave or stupid! I like to think it's the former but now I've been assigned a case officer, I'm starting to think it's the latter. I'm heading for Sydney (I know it's an obvious pick!) and would love to hear from anyone already there or heading that way too so that I know someone! (Don't let my username put you off. We all have our crosses to bear!) Hope this rambling has given hope to June 2011 applicants waiting to hear from a case officer:biggrin:
