Hello, thanks for the insight, we (myself,hubby & 3 boys) will be staying in Quinns rock, we land on 28th November! We are also on the 457 so it's nice to see the good/bad from a family on par with us, if you don't mind me asking but why did you need medicals? Hello, we used an agent that our sponsor had. Had to scan & email a lot of paperwork but once it was all lodged the visa was given in 24 hours! We didn't need to do medicals or police checks. We fly to Perth November 26th! Good luck Denni

Hello everyone. This may seem a bit strange but I was reading up on what our removal company will NOT take & now I need some advice on how to go about it, I've only every been on 2 short holiday flight so am not 100% on how, how much & what is a no no...... Problem::goofy: removal company will NOT take liquid or jewelry. How much jewelry can I wear on a flight & will it set the machine off? (don't want to be the person that everyone moans about!) :twitcy: I have 16 bottles of perfume that I want to take with me, is this ok on a flight or will I be stopped at the other end? Thanks for that. I have 3 boys 03/10/01 12/06/04 15/01/09 I know about the small payment every year at non private school but i have read that on the 457 4year visa it might abit more? We have flights for the 26th nov so have a few weeks to look around before the schools end for the holiday. I am wanting them to start at the first day of new year Thanks for your help Denni x

But one thing I would like to ask is, do any of you know of any short term rental companies in and around the Kingsley area? I have been looking on-line but as it's holiday time everywhere seems to be booked already. Our flights are booked and we land in Perth on the 28th but as it is at the moment we will be sleeping on the beach (where no-one can see us) lol we don't make a lovely sight first thing in the morning! Lol that's ok, my eldest boy hates football as well so he's not alone on that one, my boy hates every thing sporty but the one thing he loves is animals and fish so we want to get him into some kind of diving school. Will keep u posted once we arrive Denni

Hello, Just wanted to ask for some advice. I have 3 boys aged 3,8,11 we are moving to Perth in November this year as OH has a job in Kingsley, but I am unsure of when to apply for school places. Can I apply from uk? We are going on 4 year visa. Wow this is more stressful than getting ready for the big move, I'm not even sure what year group they will be in but it would be nice if I could get them a school place before we go, or is this a bad idea? Hello, we are heading to Perth in November with 3 boy aged 11,8,3. So far from hunting the net we have found loads of football teams, only one of mine will like that so I am hopeful that the other two will get into some sort of scouts, lessons surfing or diving. If nothing else plenty of parks & friendly people should help. Once I arrive I'll have a look around and let you know, I'm sure it will be ok once your settled. Denni

Hello...... I am over the moon to say that we finally got our visa yesterday, wow it all seems so real now excited/scared. We are moving to Perth in 7 weeks. I would love for some advice on things like making the move, renting holiday homes/how long, renting a long term home, homesickness. Hi, my OH is in the same boat. Had a painting & decorating business for 20 years but wanted to get out of the stress and paperwork, he is so worried that he will find it hard to have someone above him but wants to have more time with the kids. We are heading to Perth also but have found a job sponsor. Are you a sole trader or a director? It should be easier to get back in to sole trading once you get on your feet I'm hopeful that it will be: pro- more time with family & less paperwork. Con- not earning of the boys & someone telling you what to do. Good luck, just sit back and enjoy! Denni

Hi, just wanted to ask if you would keep us up dated on this as we, family of 5 or moving to the same areas as my old man has a job in Kingsley. This is the one thing that is getting me as I have seen some great homes for rent but we never seem to get a reply, I also have friends in the area who have said they would help but not sure if their tastes will be the same. I've spent ages looking at good areas for families, with 3 boys all in to different things we have narrowed ours down to... Kingsley, mullaloo, padbury. My favorite so far is ocean reef/joondalup. Ocean reef is (so I have been told) a great school both primary and high, not far from the beach and near everything. Hope you find what your looking for Denni
