Oh... Here is the thing... My country has implemented the new electronic passport last year.... So made it mandatory to change fro old passport to new ones despite having validity... You still have linked with the old ones though. I m going to apply for visa label tmr may be there they can shed some light on this

Hello All I have a small inquiry...I am leaving for Sydney on September. But I had to get a new electronic passport. But old passport still have validity till 2015. But my question is do i need to notify department even though my new passport is linked with the old one and all details are same except that my passport number is different. If i Do then how long does it usually take for the department to sort this out after they receive my application?

I lived in Australia on a student visa from 2005 to 2011 Thn i came back to my native Country and applied for PR offshore So my question is do i need to stay another 4 years to get my citizenship or my ly stay in australia as a student counts. Note i did stay in my native country for more than 12 months

Dear All just an update from my side....just send the police clearance to my lawyer and my meds are already showing finalised......so finger cross for the golden email.......its been 22 months so far let c hw long this takes!!!!!

: hello brother I have an inquiry: I long does medical report takes to be uploaded on my online status....I did my medical on Saturday...and its Tuesday already my online status still refers as Requested....Should I be concern...I did my medical on a clinic referred by Embassy.. no drama there... Thanks bro..i just did my medical yesterday....how long does it usually takes for the information to be uploaded on the "online system" so tht i cn be assured tht Diac has received the medical report... WOW i thought once the medical is done its usually takes 3 weeks tops...but i guess things has changed so another small but annoying waiting period waits ahead....

Hi I got my CO last week asked for form 80 only. On the online status:in the document checklist section it shows ON THE SAME DAY All documents to Met! Form 80: Character assesment: MET! AFP Check: Received PCC: Received(Been 10 month since i send it) form 160eh:Form 160EH - Radiologist report on chest x-ray: met! Form 26EH - Medical Examination for an Australian visa: met! My questions are: Why co asked for for 80 again even though document chelist says met!(is it just to get updated info) And why did i wasnt asked for med or pcc(Cuz i think pcc and med valid for 6 months) How long may it take approximately....my lawyer said 6 months!!!!!! Thank any expert input will be highly appriciated!! Regards reza

hi there no i just assume tht it usually takes 6 months hope i m right!.....cu i have seen sme other forums where it says six months.....but nt sre. hw did u knw the cheks are till july /aug.....is there a way to check......i have send my form 80 on 1stweek december.....when do u recon is a reasonable time to get this sorted

Contacted My CO yesterday regarding my status......got reply this morning that i m going through internal n external cheks so i guess i m stuck for several months.....prb will take till may....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Anyone went through same situation plz let me knw whts the usual timeframe plz......esp for applicant frm Bangladesh!

U r in the same boat as me!...have u to tried contacting ur co after allocation!..........cuz i have asked few ppl on the thread who r in similar situation who said tht if they r doing external check the co let u knw abt tht...but i havent heard anything so far from mine....hw abt u? I m thinking of contacting my co on 1st week of march.....also in my document cheklist every thing has changed to met except pcc and afp(australian police chek)...hw abt urs brother.....anyway hopefuly we will get it sn..i m expecting may/june...do plz keep updated bro! hi shandghi yeah this is twistedspiky mate.....i got my CO on 29 november.....CO only asked for updated form 80.....med n pcc were uploaded b4....but since thn no news from CO.....i m gussing i m stuck with the security check as i m frm HR country....my lawyer said may take upto 6 months....waiting till end feb to contact CO regarding my status.......its very frustrationg waiting for CO n once u get it u realise u got a wait mre!

yeah last few updates where mre dissapointing......bt hopefully every one will get co sn......just pray tht they will nt stuck u with security cheks after getting allocation...which is very frustrationg after waiting for allocation for so long..u have wait frm 6-12months for tht( this is esp for applicant frm hr countries).......but hopefully majority of us will nt have to face it!

!8th may....its pretty clear tht smething is up in diac office....its been really....hopefully it will up n running soon. But i dnt understand....they r currently allocating june applicants...hw come they r still stuck on 18th may. I mean last couple weeks all the allocation wee to june applicant...i though they r dne with may!

HI there Worried84 hw r u? any news abt ur case yet! Its been 6 weeks since i send my updated form 80 to my CO but havent got any reply......so i m bit worried...cuz i dnt knw if there is an external cheking going or nt....So my question is that did u send an email asking him regarding ur status and he replied tht it was going on security cheks and may take 6 months time....i have emailed my lawyer he asked me to wait few more month b4 sending any email...nt sre wht should i do.....ths waiting is such a pain....thnks for ur reply
