  7. Has anyone recently moved from uk/ire to perth wa with children of school age. What paperwork should i prepare, ie baptism cert, 1st holy communion, confirmation cert, immunisation records, prev school reports??? As for the religious certs were did you obtain them? Anything else?? Kids r 12 & 5 yrs old.
  8. Hi, looking for advice & tips on preparing a pack for potential agents if we applied for a rental.. Travelling to perth in April, family of 2ad, 3child, (12, 5, 1) we are aware the rental market is very tight at the min, husband is travelling 1st in next few weeks, but won't have the time to look or inspect houses, tbh id rather do it!! we have friends who we r staying with but im planning on house hunting once the jet lag eases as iv 2 kids school age & need them in a catchment area for schooling asap. Basically if theres anyone to has recently secured a rental could they share there experience. many thanks

Thanks everyone. insure your move has come in at half the price from removal companies... awaiting letton quote... thanks again, il let yous know who i went with, out of curiosity wa any items damaged etc, that you had to make a claim? if so how easy was the process, roughly to what value was your contents, my husband did ours and was coming in at £6000 i think i mite need to re-do, dosnt seem much, r is that the norm for a basic 3 bed, with no overly expensive stuff!!

  14. i second the writing to ES about this, surely whv should complete gap training and pr/vetassess otsr should go back to doing the original system.. its all wrong!!!

  20. hi amy i sent u a wee mail on the expats, suddenly dawned on me that yous had arrived in sept.. wow iv been reading up on ur posts alls good then, aw brill, can u believe ur there?? instead of using expats use poms private mail, want to know all. from wat i rem subi isnt far from joondalup were we r headed... delighted to c everything is going good and ur working in all.. chat soon enjoy the sun its baltic here lol

  22. this is also the last email from poly i received.... Basically the gap training is achieved by completing a two week course upfront, with some external studies and a final Capstone run over a four day block. Plus you may need to do further training depending on meeting the requirements for an elective or not. The course starts every month and how long it takes is then up to you. The fee is the same whether you are a permanent or 457/176 visa holder and that is approximately $2,000.00. You are better off getting the on the job going as soon as possible to complete the required hours. This could take 12 months or even less than 6 months depending on the type of work you are doing.
  23. so whats ur plan of action now? just go the poly route, and start work in mines? have they agreed to complete the log book for you?
