  1. Hi Andy Thanks for your reply. My pension scheme was funded. So does this still have the same implications as the unfunded come April? Where are you located in Australia if needed for personal consultation cheers julie
  2. Hi Andy, Thanks for all the information. I moved to Australia a year ago and now and anxious re deadlines with moving pension. I worked in NHS in northern Ireland and paid into HSC superannuation scheme for 10 years. I received an email from there policy team which stated that they have had no information from HMRC regarding changes that affect transfers from HSC so am a little confused. If you can shed some light this would be greatly appreciated. jules

  6. hi everyone, has anyone any suggestions as to which company to go with from northern ireland. we are for mornington penninsula on the 22nd october and flights booked. have had quotes from pickfords for a 40ft £6300, john mason (mc gimpseys being there agent) £7800 and Irish relocation £7195. Both of the irish companys will hopefully be matching pickfords price or cheaper so just wondered which one to go with if they were all around the same price. Anyone get any cheaper prices than this one?? thanks  xxx
  7. hi there. I am at the same stage as yourself. awaiting skills assessment to come back so hopefully will b putting in an EOI soon!! we are going for a permanent visa hopefully to mornington penninsula outside melbourne. have been on seek.au but unsure of where to look for round that area. 10. hi all, my family and I are in the process of applying for our 176 visa and are unsure of tax issues regarding rental income etc. anyone know the best option to transfer the rental income over to oz, i.e let it accumulate and bring it over in lump sums as the tax may be lower? also my husband receives a war and service pension which is non taxable in UK. Is this non taxable in Australia as well? thanks

  13. hi all, have just started applying for 176 visa through a reputable emmigration group. when sending off our initial application i declared that husband was ex service and medically discharged from army 10 yrs ago with back problems and depression. He has been receiving disability living allowance since. me and the kids have no health issues and i am the main applicant (nurse). the company said we have a very good chance of getting visa granted but i am worrying no matter. we were thinking of stopping the allowance soon before medicals come up or would it matter. ?? any comments would be gr8 x:unsure:
  14. thanks really helpful website with some good points. bit more clearer now. cheers x:biggrin:
