  1. I imagine the changes in the budget will make the 186 and 187 visas less attractive to employers.

  4. As no one else has answered, my brother and sister in law lived in Taylors Lakes, so spent many happy hours at their place, seems like a nice area, two nephews went to school in the area but they are both in their 30s now, one lives in Hillside now, says they have had some problems with crime in the area, home invasions!!, but seems happy living there.
  5. Quite true, and if Abbott was still in charge there is no reason to think he would have done anything differently, also anyone hoping the Labour party will change things is in for a shock.
  6. That would be ideal, not too many people would have that luxury, I imagine the kids would adapt, and at least if you decide to come back you could do it before they reach school age, I'm not that keen on the harsh sun myself, I flit from shadow to shadow, and stick in the air con as much as possible. huge decision mind you, unfortunately you as a family are the only people who can know what is best for you, think long and hard, and if you decide not to go, don't wast time regretting the decision, just get on with having a great life here.
  7. I know, and it's often the people that are comfortable here that struggle to settle when they move, it's a massive decision for you, and a bit of a gamble, no chance your other half could get 12 months off work? at least you could hedge your bets that way
  8. Give in to your temptation, I doubt you will hate it, worse case you might end up preferring somewhere else or to come back to the UK.
  9. Melbourne is nothing like London in any of those respects, nowhere near as busy, stinking hot in summer and mild in winter, many people look forward to the winter after a long hot summer, houses are expensive by Australian standards, but not by London, and commute times will depend on your work/ home distance, I am in the UK now, very happily so but after 15 years on and off in Melbourne I would pick Melbourne over London 99 times out of a 100.
  10. and in the most unsurprising news http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2017/04/04/jamie-dimon-admits-not-many-jp-morgan-jobs-will-leave-uk-major/
  11. Big business threatening to move jobs away if they don't get what they want, it's almost like they are using scare tactics to get what they want, well i never!!!!
  12. It amazes me that the same people who endlessly bang on about the Tories only caring about big business and the rich, in the following sentence tell you they are going to do something that would adversely impact on those very same people!!
  13. Maybe because the same economists predicted Armageddon from the moment of the referendum, we've been hearing doom and gloom for months and it hasn't happened, far from it, so why on earth would anyone believe them now, unless that's what they want to hear of course.
  14. Like all the leaks about the surprise election? the civil servants are nothing but pen pushers, why would they know anything? the only people who know what May is really up to is her and her closest advisers, I'd take anything leaked by a pen pushing remoner with a huge pinch of salt.
  15. Hilarious that some people think the Government don't have a plan, so far May has shown herself to be a shrewd operator, she'd not be stupid enough to let on what she is after, gives the remoners something to whinge about though, not that they need much of an excuse.
  16. Ah, if only it was one of the civilised southern states
  17. Hard Brexit coming up https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/may/01/jean-claude-juncker-to-theresa-may-on-brexit-im-10-times-more-sceptical-than-i-was-before
  18. Yeah because being in the EU is a cast iron guarantee of prosperity, just ask those Greeks, they are reaping massive benefit aren't they, we're leaving, get over it.
  19. No, because it actually costs more to operate non stop, counter-intuitive I know, they have to fuel it to the brim to get all the way to London, so that's a lot of weight to carry, also the 787 won't have the range to operate with a full load so reduced seating means more cost per passenger.
  20. The Communist party have given their backing to Jezza, another nail in the coffin. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/general-election-uk-communist-party-no-candidates-jeremy-corbyn-labour-support-first-1920-a7699761.html
  21. So the 52% that put a cross in "Leave the European Union" will get exactly what they voted for.
  22. So you are telling me the UK won't be leaving the EU, is that correct?
  23. How do you know what she wants? it's all just wishcasting on your part, by the way congratulations on knowing the motivation of 52% of the people that voted.
