  1. Hi Thea Really sorry I’ve only just seen the notifications for your reply ( emails went to spam box ) i’m afraid for me due to fact I need a degree or over 11 years work experience to pass the ACS skills assessment for perm residency , Aus is all but over in terms of the labour agreement route I didn’t pursue it any further for the very reason a perm out come wouldn’t be possible. For me now unless I retrain in a trade ( the migration pathways seem to be a hell of a lot more generous in comparison to IT) - Aus May never happen. Hope everything works out for you though , from what I recall you still need to have a job offer for the on hire agreement and if the agents are taking care of your payroll / tax etc then they’ll prob take a cut for their phil
  2. Hello Thanks for the above however the 457 by name isn't due to be abolished in full until March 2018 at which point it will be renamed as the "TSS" visa. As it stands the only changes that have taken place relate to the lists and the fact caveats have now been introduced for certain occupations. Also so the ability to convert/ transition to PR for occupations on the new " short term lists" - it's essentially been a rebranding exercise as opposed to a full abolishment which is what a lot where led to believe by the headline. From what I've been advised by Pendragon who are Mara registered , the 457 on hire labour agreement stream hasn't been withdrawn as such as this is separate to the standard business sponsor route ( being sponsored directly by an employer) regards Phil
  3. Hello Wondering if there is anybody on the forum who has ever went down the on hire labour agreement route via a 457 before?- i've been confirmed as eligible via a company on Linkedin, Pendragon management and i was just looking to gather opinions from anyone who has went down this route? I'm looking to relocate from June onwards preferably to Sydney however open to other locations and was wondering if there were any members in the forum within IT recruitment , specifically for SAP testing who might be able to help?. I'm ISTQB certified and have 10 years overall utility experience within the UK ( just over 2 years testing and 5 years overall SAP) and i'm just coming to the end of working as a test lead within a large scale SAP implementation for one of the UK's largest energy suppliers. According to Pendragon , the way the on hire agreement works is that they act as a ''surrogate'' sponsor, where they take care of the sponsor directly on behalf of the employer, to activate this though an offer of employment is needed. I'm set up on Linkedin and SEEK , however just wanted to put something out on here to firstly gather any opinions/views from people who may have went down this route with a 457 and also to see if there is anybody on here in IT recruitement who might be willing to have a chat- happy to drop my resume over. Many thanks Phil
