  1. Great news .. I was just thinking what to do cuz co has not really contacted at all and it's been 9 weeks ...
  2. Visa processing has never taken 12 months unless the applicant was on external Security checks.
  3. Yeah . Everyone ends up filling the form or being requested to fill it out by the co . This form is for future reference or somethin.. It's like a formal declaration of personal details provided to the DIAC or a third time during your visa application process .
  4. There you go Umshiva,, As you can see,,,, everything will be alright.!
  5. It used to be beneficial if you have uploaded all supporting docs before co allotment as Doing this would expedite the decision which means a quicker grant . But now for some reason , 189 visas take around 8 full weeks and maybe even 10 weeks after all verifications am confirmations have been done . For 189 , the DIAC normally ends up assigning case officers only on the last day of the 8 weeks probably just to maintain processing standards . This means there's a huge list of applicants to be processed . So this has been happening from around may 2013 and so for your case Amanda, expect grant Only by around 25th August or maybe a week or two later if all documents sent have been cleared. If there are medical referrals for anyone on the application or if there is a security check on your application , you have to wait longer and this could be a few more weeks to even 3 months and sometimes even more depending on the countries you have been and their alliance with Australia to share information . Your agent may not be able to confirm if Medicals have been cleared as they probably don't have access to that information just like any other person. However there is an email address of the health strategies of DIAC who replied regarding my meds being cleared and you can also probably send them your mail for confirmation too . health.strategies@immi.gov.au Now you can take your decision in what should be done further according to your situation .... And maybe I think migration agents can help with this too -- I think they're there to sort out issues like this as they might have experience in various cases .
  6. No matter where you write the exam you won't win any brownie points with an attitude like that hermewhatever !
  7. Largey88, DIAC Clearly is not working up to their standards. God only knows how long this is gonna take !
  8. I haven't called DIAC ivetka.. I'm just assuming that they have allocated me to a team or to a co . I'm not going to call them and learn from their stupid yes and no answers whether we've been allocated a co or not . I'm hence still waiting . I suggest you fill up form 80 for both of you and compile all proof of both of you being together , this might speed up processing and maybe save you time or If you like to wait till co contacts you ,, that's fine too
  9. Ivetka do you have anything pending o submit ?!
  10. I'm not the DIAC officer to confirm this but only from what I have seen with the previous applicants getting the grant , 2 weeks should be the max wait after CO Allocation
  11. So looks like most waiting here have been assigned a co. Now I've also seen co processing the visa application in 2 weeks max. So any delay after that could be due to medical referrals or external security checks . Lets see how it turns up . I'm expecting grants for the June folks 1st week of August .
  12. That's the most logical thing to do bijit !! Can't let DIAC control our lives!
  13. Where's bijit ?! Has he go the grant already ?! I haven't seen you being active here bijit after you've got the CO...
  14. I don't understand why but the 190 applicants are getting excellent processing times . Some with all needed documents get straight grants within 5 weeks or max 6 weeks . And I'm talking June applicants . People who've lodged after me have already got grants . So I dot understanding the delay for 189 applicants even after 8 weeks pass and all documents uploaded. If there is no medical referrals or external checks then why the delay ?! I think this is one question which will never be answered !
  15. 10 weeks is the total time from date of application. We'd never move to Aus if it was 10 weeks from co allocation !! No way !!! Since you've been allotted to a team , things will now move faster ... But can't say much abt this as we don't really know how the CO works their applicants priorities . I've heard they first pull up applicants on the basis of occupation . Engineers and accountants I believe won't be given much priority here as there's abundance of us waiting for a decision . But having said that , the difference will only be a matter of a couple weeks or less. So I'm guessin we should expect a grant soon without any co correspondence. I say this because If co needed anything from us they would have initiated an email to us and wait for the documents as that will save time for both the applicant and DIAC . However we just have to wait and see how things turn out . Be positive though. For umshiva, keep in touch with DIAC every week since its 8 weeks due and make sure you be persistent to know your medical status and your co allocation status .
  16. Hi umshiva , I know your situation is tough. But what if they grant you the visa in 2 weeks !!? I have seen that occupation has been given preference but from what I've seen no one waits for longer than 10 weeks max if they have uploaded all right docs and if Medicals are not referred they give you the grant . I suggest you hang in there just like I am , and if nothing is heard until mid week next week , do give them a call again. Ask them to confirm if meds or external checks are going on or not ?! They will have to give you some sort of progress report . .. So yeah again. All the best to us.
  17. If you go to immi website you can see 8 weeks as standard processing time . It might have been 7 weeks or less earlier but 8 weeks is the standard now .
  18. No I dint get any contact from co yet because I've provided them with all documents . It's 8 weeks now but I sit know If I have a co but from how they work - you will definitely have a co by the 8th week. If they need more docs they will email you. I'm not sure if there'll be a contact number to call but they'll definitely email you .
  19. You have to wait for the contact umshiva . Very rarely do they grant visas to 189s before 8 weeks . I you've applied June 3rd today will make it exactly 8 weeks. So expect co contact or grant anytime now . You can also call them alternatively to Know your status .
  20. Umshiva, I might have a co now but I'm just speculating . I haven't called them but from what I hear from the other members who have applied on the same week or date as me, they've been assigned a co . As they say, co's might not contact is when we've provided them with all documents which I have . So I'm still waiting in the dark basically .
  21. I wonder what the Email Address is , to make enquiries such as the one above. I would think Email enquiry is a much better option to know the status of my Visa application than waiting to talk to a DIAC Personell after waiting for a long time on the phone. It is nearing 8 weeks for my application too and I wish to know what the status is for me right now. I tell you though, the 8 Weeks felt really long, and the wait is still not over yet.! Sigh*
  22. Yes it very much means that you have been either allocated a co or you will soon be . I'm happy because I applied on 3rd June and if you are allocated A co I should have one soon too .
  23. Oh I get it now .. Maybe you should talk to a migration agent in My opinion
