  1. There's now a change of government .. Which means a new immigration minister .. I think the new govt will function better but I dunno if the department will function until the new immigration minister takes charge .. I hope it does so we can see no delays in visa processing ! Just a heads up to everyone .
  2. I think it's the election delaying all work .. Come next week or the week after and all the works will resume to normal .
  3. Ivetka always supporting people ! Keep up your outlook !
  4. The above posts make me feel like I was lucky with my co allocation !! Dayumm!
  5. Yeah B is a referral I'm afraid . But hopefully global health have faster processing times as they've cleared a lot of backlogs in the recent months
  6. Thanks all .. It Is exiting indeed . I'm currently in Oman and will travel back to Melbourne sometime next month . I was in Melbourne for 4 years and left the country for some reasons personal and now I've acquired permanent residence status for Australia . I had always planned to get back to Melbourne so today the formalities have been finalised .
  7. The ONLY other reasons would be Medical referral or security checks which will delay processing .
  8. For sure no doubt .. Save the stress!
  9. Yes you're all next in row and there's a strong pattern of MOST applicants receiving grants within 2.5months . I just doesn't go an further than this time period. This is only if you have all documents provided for finalization of the visa.
  10. Gsm 34 Brisbane is not bad . I got my grant today an it had been a good turn around after my case officer was assigned - 12 days for all verification and finalization !
  11. Naa! I wouldnt forget anyone. It has been a journey and those who have helped has been part of it, helped me shape things up for the future. So definitely, wouldnt forget.! All the best to you too bijit. After security Checks, The visa is certain. So keep yourself busy as you would till then.!
  12. Folks I have been granted my visa today .
  13. Yes Debbio , call them if 8 weeks are due . Well for me , I now have received email from my care officer and my application is processed at Team 34, Brisbane . They have requested a document which I could send only after working hours today and now waiting for their reply or the grant . Since they did not request anything else and when no more requests were made except for a proof of a traffic offence I had mentioned in form 80 I am guessing everything else has been cleared . I am wondering if I really had to include traffic offence details in my form 80 cuz I might have probably received my grant today if did not do so.
  14. So I have tried to resist calling DIAC but my anxiety control has given in. My co has been allocated on 5th August. Meds are cleared. And since I have sent all documents needed for processing , it's still waiting for now but atleast I have some info on where my case is and luckily I've been allotted an officer . So yeah, I can have a good weekend with this much news .! I'll live !
  15. Haha ivetka ! All the best for the future and enjoy the party . Gold Coast it is !
  16. Once I get my grant I should surely go for a road trip and abstain from checking emails and updates for atleast a week ..-- only then will I be the person that I was, before lodging my visa application
  17. Yeah Debbio,, the onshore application is quite and advantage ... Anyway -- all the best to us!
  18. I lodged few days before ivetka where's my decision ?! Lol!
  19. It's all done after you lodge the visa .
  20. Oh yeah btw I totally forgot that DIAC will not really give you info on your co since you have an agent . They will only communicate to the agent . But you can call DIAC anyway and only ask about the rules for when the agent goes for holidays and imminent co allocation issues. DIAC may not be happy to answer anymore details related to your application when the agent is actin on behalf of you . And yeah, you can also confirm the address to which you can send your medical reports to, if you actually have to send it to them because the medical centre normally sends the mail direct to DIAC or they're have also sent your reports electronically and must have sent this letter to you as backup . It all depends from which country you are applying.
  21. Nomad, I you wait till your agent gets back and if co ha requested for any documents the 28 day limit will start from the day the agent would receive the email. Now I dunno if there are provisions for more time when you apply thru an agent but to be playin safe, you can call DIAC and find out abt co allocation and also ask them about this issue...
  22. Ivetka , did co ask you for form 80??
  23. I haven't updated co status because I don't know anything abt it . I don't bother to call because I felt they will say that I've been allocated co and nothing more ... I am also waiting till next week and I no co contact then I will call them . Thing is I have submitted All documents am nothing is left from my side to submit. I also believe since you are onshore applicant they will process your case faster than mine . I dunno. So if you submit all your requested documents then you will be granted co very soon like many other onshore applicants who got their grants the next day they submitted requested documents . All the best and do let us know when you get the grant .
