  1. Hi Tania, I have just finalised my registration with AHPRA in July and didn't have a job offer in place, or any intention of working immediately. I would get my registration completed as soon as possible, they change the goalposts all the time and it may be even more difficult to register in 2013. Do you know anyone in Australia whose address you could use, set up your oz bank account and have that and some other mail sent there so you have id with an address? Good luck Cheryl.
  2. Hi Emma, To register you need AHPRA the new registration board not ANMC, ANMC deal only with skills assesment for visas if you google AHPRA, you should be directed to the website good luck. Cheryl.
  3. Hi Emma, You only need to register with the ANMC for skills assesment in order to get a visa, but if your going on your husbands visa you wont need to do this, im going on my hubby's visa too so am in the same position, As of the begining of July most of the Australian nursing boards have merged so i think you now need to apply to AHPRA for registration, some of the states have yet to join so i would check to see if this applies to you, hope this helps, good luck, Cheryl.
  4. Hi all, Im new to this forum but hoping someone can help, i recently sent off my application for registration to the nmb with all the neccessary paperwork and have had a response saying my transcript doesnt include theoretical work in the following areas, medical nursing, surgical nusring, aged care nursing, mental health and community nursing,, however my nursing diploma which i completed in 2002 is child health specific and im registered as a child health nurse, i know in australia there are no such distinctions, has anyone else experienced this, can they just place a restriction on my practice any advice would be great,, thanks cheryl.
