  1. As I like to keep thinking positive I guess we will just have been stuck in rented property all this time so once I get my visa granted then hopefully I will get a buyer for my house  positive thinking positive thinking positive thinking :biglaugh:
  2. Yeah we have money in the property that we would like so now all my hopes are on this new estate agents and yes it is so frustrating when you get someone not turning up but I must say its only happened 3 times to me in all the 3 years I have had my house on the market.
  3. We put our house on the market 3 years ago :arghh: when we lodged our visa and every year we have had a new estate agent so now we are on our fourth and hoping these can actually sell for us
  4. I don't feel I can be excited when we get our visa granted as like you the house we still haven't sold and I know what you mean with the cleaning and the hours you put in :arghh:, I have just given notice to my local estate agent and trying a new approach with a company called express estate agents they recon they can sell your house within the 12 weeks they will advertise it also they put it on at a really low price and put offers in access of and this is suppose to get the viewers through the door!! so I am now hoping that these can sell my property.
  5. And I can not see you having to wait 12/18 months as we are seeing the gap closing to 9 months and one at 6 months If we look at all those that got a co last week you can see how long they have been waiting!!! not bad considering that DIAC are saying 12/18 months  AndyH78 - 8/3/2011 Lodged week 10 co week 44 waited 34 weeks nadare - 09-Mar-2011 Lodged week 10 co week 44 waited 34 weeks Lori2011 - march 2011 Lodged week 10 co week 44 waited 34 weeks ark - 11 march 2011 Lodged week 10 co week 44 waited 34 weeks bj27 - 14 feb 2011 Lodged week 7 co week 44 waited 37 weeks Higgers - 1st May 2011 Lodged week 17 co week 44 waited 27 weeks
  6. I hear different things I hear that wages are higher to compensate for the higher costs in food and stuff also petrol is cheaper. My cousin moved to Aus in 2006 and has never looked back she has her own property that she rents out and is able to afford to live next to the city which is more expensive also she said they can afford to go away more, promotion is always their if you want it I suppose it depends on your jobs and lifestyle you expect.
  7. I am sorry but you are the only one coming out with negative!!! comments everyone else feels that things are moving along nicely, you have made your point clear now can we move on as I don't think anyone else feels the same. Thank you Tania
  8. Yes you are right  we do need to remember that we was once told that we wouldn't get a visa till 2013 and then we may not get it at all and look at us now :jiggy:
  9. I think lots of us can understand what you are saying as like myself I have now been waiting 3 years and yes it does seem unfair when some are only having to wait a matter of months but that isn't their fault we have to remember this is government, so lets hope others don't have to go through what we have  good luck and hopefully you will receive some good news soon.
  10. Yes but I think they cleared most of those already and we have seen plenty of movement on cat 4 I don't think things are slow and I don't think it will be long before they get to cat 5 hopefully start of next year.

  12. Cat 4 are not far of being done as you can see from the front page they are already working on April and May, June is the biggest month for applicants applying but after that their are not as many applicants lodging applications because of the changes, we are seeing lots of visa grants and co's being allocated that but what do you mean by backlog for cat 3 as I see it their isn't one as they are being allocated CO within a month or 2 of lodging.
  13. We are cat 4 and being processed at pace also cat 3 is cleared.
  14. Great, i hope so too, thanx for the info:hug: You never know as your own agent isn't that quick to keep you informed the person who will take over till your agent is back may be of more help  so I would contact them once your agent has gone on holiday and see if you can get whoever is in his place to find out what is going on with your visa and any other stuff you need to know.
  15. We have been getting visa grants but no CO's so lets hope its because they are already looking at others files and they just haven't made contact, lets try keep positive
  16. Hopefully he will keep checking his emails and keep in contact
  17. Well it has been quiet this week so lets hope that is because DIAC are already looking at at your files and just are not ready to make contact so hopefully see some get co's next week, good look everyone.

  21. Waiting room is just a joke some of us have been waiting around 8 weeks and more after doing medicals and police checks and are now waiting for decision. I just need the following information and if you would like me to add a desination that is up to you Nationality: High/Low Risk:
  22. Hi and welcome to this thread, yes they are contacting many after Feb as far as May have had a case officer, Diac will only quote the date and month that they know all have got a case officer as for the months that follow they are not complete in full also to remember that their are different teams such as team 1 team 2 ect that you get allocated to and they all work at different speeds so don't worry hopefully you will be contacted soon, Case officer only normally contacts you when they need additional evidence and if they don't need that then like me they contacted when they asked me for Medicals and Police checks this is normally the last thing they will ask for as they only last 12 months. If you would like me to add your details to the front page p-lease fill in the information below. Name: Destination: Date of Visa application: Nationality: High/Low Risk: Trade/profession: Visa type: Onshore/offshore: Pre-14th July 2010 Category (If applicable): Post-14th July Category: Medicals submitted: Police check submitted: Date CO assigned: Date of employment verification (If applicable): Date visa granted: Thanks Tania
