  1. Thanks for your reply! it's a cat! and yes, his rabies was done in July. So to confirm, I can arrange for him to go to one of the Eastern stations and then fly him to Perth, but he has to be accompanied by me and will cost about $40? (obviously, my flight will be more!!!!) I've emailed my pet travel company in the UK as well as I've heard a rumour that quarantine has been reduced to 10 days from 31 days....is that right???
  2. I am already in Oz and was planning on my cat joining us at the end of November. He is currently staying with my mum in the UK whilst I organise his travel and quarantine arrangements. I have just had an email from DAFF stating that Byford quarantine station is full in November/December and that my cat can't come now until January and to consider using a different station. My problem is that my mum is coming over in early December and I don't have anyone else to look after him for up to 3 months (length of her visit) and I feel it's cruel to put him in a kennel for that length of time, then to fly him over to spend more time in quarantine!!! Should I go for an Eastern station and then fly him again to Perth?? Has anyone else been in a similar situation? I've also just read (albeit briefly and not properly) that quarantine is being reduced to 10 days in January, does anyone know any more information regarding this?? Oh I'm so upset!!!!!:arghh::arghh::arghh:
  3. we got our visas 2 years ago and the house has been up for sale for 2 years......4 offers made all 4 fell through for various different reasons beyond fed up now, house is up for well below 'value' although we understand that houses are only worth what people are prepared to pay for it......yet another viewer tonight but feeling very despondant and very low. both our children are due to leave their respective schools this year (1 in year 6 the other in year 11) so if the house does go before July we will be splitting the family up until the summer as oh will go ahead of us. don't know what to do anymore :'(
