Now the nights are getting a bit cooler, Brian has taken to hiding out inside the BBQ for longer periods. However, a snake still has to eat so here he is on the lookout for some supper

Sorry to hear about your husband @ramotI hope he is ok. Sending you both best wishes x

He’s certainly giving Ted a run for his money. Every morning it’s like a game of where’s Wally

Yes @Toots we were a bit freaked at first but now we have lived with him for a couple of weeks we know his likely hiding places. As you can see in the photo, Mr M can pick him up without using the broom handle now

Well it seems like we now have a new family member. Brian has been relocated three times now and he comes back every time.

We can’t find him now, will have to wait until it gets dark as he hides during daylight hours. Daughter was excited to see him back, she loves the wild life but ‘Brian’ is a bit too wild for my liking.

To the bottom of the garden and let him go in the creek. It’s a big garden but obviously not big enough lol

Funny you should say that Benj, we have decided to move the fence out another 2mt to give us a bit more space on the pool side. So, the black aluminium fence will be moving and the piles of bricks you can see in the picture above will be a mini wall to stop the rain (if we ever get any) from running down into the pool. I will take some more photos tomorrow of the latest bit of excavation we had done on Monday. actual planting can’t start until the fencing is re-sited , though I have already started collecting plants.

No it didn’t work because he changed locations. We lost him for a few hours and then he turned up on the patio. Mr M was able to lift him up on the end of a brush pole and place him in the box while I closed the lid. Then we carried him away from the house. My friend at work has one living in the roller door of her shed, ha ha ha. These guys are not fussy where they park themselves.

Ha ha we’ve named him Brian

Yes he is right outside the door, still here so 5 days now. He retreats to the same corner during the day so the plan is to leave an empty box in ‘his’ corner and see if he will occupy the box, then we put the lid on and move him away from the house. Failing that, get the snake catcher in.

Ha ha there won’t be many places that you can visit then if you don’t like snakes
-
Our friends in Cairns just had the snake catcher out to remove one from under their fridge in the kitchen. They also have one living under the bin in the garden

Yes he’s one of the babies, there are a few big ones and a couple of mid sized ones too. They eat the flowers off the hibiscus and then they run down to the creek for a swim. I love seeing them.
