That is a strange coincidence, I started doing mostly joinery but got fed up with being stuck inside and in the same place all the time, was nice in the winter though.

Sort of not bothered about selling now, might be better off renting as long as we get good tenants of course.

My kids are 11 and 5 and both looking forward to going, although i don't think our youngest fully understands.

Hi lindsey

We've had our house for sale 18 months now and have sold subject to contract 3 times, each time the sale falls through because the buyers house sale fails or people can't get the mortgage they need. There's no confidence in the housing market at the mo. If we don't sell before we go renting it out will have to be an option.

No i have never been before, my parents have been loads of times and we know a few people over there. We thought about going on a recci but its like you said about validating, it would take a lot out of our savings.

To be honest even if we sold the house there's no way i would take any more money than we would need to get started, the exchange rate is so bad at the mo.

I think Adelaide/SA has got it all really, seems safer than Qld too, also depends on your occupation i suppose. I'm a self employed carpenter/roofer and my wife has always worked in hospitals as a medical secretary, seems from research that these jobs are in demand in SA.

Hi Lindsey

It cost £125 extra for x-rays for our 11 year old, the whole thing is a rip off really.

We were in the med centre (Birmigham) for 2 hours, then the 90 mile drive home, just in time for the rush hour

We are heading to Adelaide, ideally arriving for late winter/early spring over there,so we can acclimatise to the hot summers they have over there , 45 degrees recently

Where you heading and when you hoping to go?

Speak soon,

Hi

I got a CO on 1st of feb  was starting to think it would never happen.

Mr T has learnt nothing from previous mistakes, he forgot to tell us that our eldest who is now 11 would need the cheast x-ray :realmad: luckily the med centre told us when we booked. God he's useless, by checking our online application we knew we had a CO 2 days before he called us, now there's a man with his finger on the pulse, not

We did our meds last week, nothing to worry about, hardest part was paying for it £815.00 :swoon: sent the police checks off to happy yesterday.

Best of luck with your meds

Hi Lindsey, just noticed you have a CO at last, thats really great news :jiggy:

I remember you because we both had problems with a certain Mr Tindle from the visa bureau:wacko: and we also logged our visa in 17 june 2009

We have also got a CO now so hopefully we're almost there

All the best
