Then that works out well for you, great news  Unfortunately for us my Hubby earns less here than he was in the Uk! & we spend more on shopping here....Doh! (P.S There are 6 of us)
2.

Thanks so much, I slept pretty well in the end, lovely & warm in my duvet, just didnt want to get out of it this morning! LOL

3. Thank you so much ~ Clearly it appears that some of us live/d in colder houses than others  Which is fair enough & if someone posted about their house being lovely & warm in the Winter here, I would say 'How lovely, you lucky thing' & mean it, because thats how I am :cute:
4. Must have been the warm air coming from outside on this wet, windy day  Thank you TRH, I was asking for tips at the start of this thread  & thanks to all those that have given me good advice....Currently extra layered up, wearing slippers & drinking hot chocolate! Oh & FYI, im well aware of the weather in the Uk, lived there for over 30 years!
5. FYI....For those that are getting confused :confused:I have been talking about how cold it can get inside the house, not outside
6. Isnt it funny how a statement about it being cold in their house, can attract so much attention! Some people really do need to stop getting so defensive! Some people should just speak honestly, how can you go from stating 'my house is cold too' & then state 'my house is lovely & toasty'??
7. :notworthy: I am literally 'cold nosed' as we speak!
8. Thank you ~ Im glad you can see the point I have tried to make from the start! Some people seem to get all defensive & I have no idea why???

10. My house is not a new build, cold seems to come through any little crack & down through the vents in the ceilings too... Wish I had reverse cycle heating, my Kids are so cold when they have to crawl out of their duvets in the morning... :frown:
11. How do you manage to warm your house, without it costing a fortune?
12. A meet up sounds a great idea....I have two under 18months :cute: Will check back on this thread for further info

We used to spend around £150/£200 p/w in Uk.....Now spend around $400 p/w in WA Im told if you really shop around, you can get much better deals, but in the Uk I only really shopped at Tesco or Sainsburys & here I only shop at Coles
