  1. Are we talking about the man in your picture???? well without being to personal he looks pretty fit, I would not worry, they say if your BMI is above 40 and you are unfit, STOP WORRYING!!!!
  2. I am getting the feeling you are a bit of a worrier.....I am sure I read somewhere that you only need to worry if your BMI is over 40 and you are unfit....we went for our meds yesterday, and Cholesterol was not mentioned, you only have a blood test for HIV, unless you are going to be working in medicine or teaching, then they do Hep bloods, but that is all......You are worrying for no reason!!! now breath and relax. Su x
  3. Thats great news, but why the 4th October, thats not the date of your meds or your PCC's is it??? Su x
  4. Yeah we have been waiting a long time, my Husbands occupation was taken off the SOL but re appeared in Jul this year, like a lot of the old applicants on this thread Tania, Anlopa TraxFM Mandyandmark to name a few, but our kids are growing up quickly as you saw at the clinic this morning, Sophie was just taking her GCSE's when we started this process, she is now at Uni. So we will wait until our eldest son has taken his A Levels now, which means we won't move out til Summer 2013. we are off to Melbourne, where are you hoping to settle down?
  5. All our docs are showing as met except our Meds.. I guess whatever we sent with our original application was evidence enough.
  6. Yeah that was us!!!, you must have been the young couple opposite, Good luck with everything. Su x
  7. We were at Maidenhead this morning, What time was your appointment, they were lovely Ladies there........
  8. Wow that was quick.......I managed to get a copy of her latest blood tests showing everything is in good working order, and her medical notes showing no problems. So I took them with us this morning, they are going to upload them with our medicals and x rays, so I am now hoping that it will be only 6 days the same as your huband's.
  9. Went and had our meds this morning.......6 hours from start to finish including the drive to maidenhead and home again, the ladies at Bridge Clinic are lovely. Now we just have to wait. Su
  10. We are team4 RB, she has been great ... Only things that are not MET are police checks (uploaded this weekend) and Medical (booked for Tuesday)......We are all so close now, well done "Waitingtogotooz" whereabouts in the UK are you?, and how long has your house been on the market??
  11. Victoria, probably Mornington for us Su
  12. She has just been taken over by the Adult Diabetic clinic and is now under a different hospital, she has only had one appointment at the new clinic and to be honest her Hba1c was a bit on the high side, so I want to see how it is on Tuesday afternoon and send her latest report off then, If not I will have to send her juvenile diabetic team notes. I'm sure it will be fine
  13. We are off to Maidenhead, I just get so cross when people say things that they seem to know nothing about, how on earth can you compare The cost of Diabetes to the cost of HIV. My daughter is Diabetic, I know her meds will be refered, I will now be watching your threads, to see when you OH's meds are finalised. Good luck Su x
  14. Got our Police checks back today, another bunch of law abidding citizens........Just the Meds (which are booked for Tues) then the wait for the Visa.
  15. "I don't think they will refer you for a flu... I thought it was mostly about finding an illness or condition that would cost the community a lot on medical costs. Something like diabetes and HIV, and serious infectious diseases? Diabetes does not cost them alot of money< why would you put it in the same group as HIV?..... There is no reason to have complications from Diabetes in this day and age, I hope your comment was made from ignorance and nothing more!
  16. Don't be worried...when did you send them off??? I sent ours off Wednesday 12th we got an e mail saying they rec'd them on the 13th so hopefully we should get them back soon, I'm not to bothered as our meds are not booked until 25th Oct
  17. You're doing a great job on this thread Tania, It can't be long until you get your Visa......I am off to the bank in a minute to get a check drawn up for our Police checks, so they will go in the post Monday, and we have our meds booked for the 25th October.........So fingers crossed We should have our Visa's before Christmas....But we don't intend going out until July 2013, when our Middle Son finishes his A Levels, Our Eldest Daughter won't be able to join us until she has finished her Degree in Spring 2014.....I just hope she doesn't meet the man of her dreams and decide she does not want to come. Su x
  18. Thats great news, now our family of 5 only have to pay £855.00 for our meds, Mandy you are going to the Bridge Clinic aren't you? I am a bit confuse, It says on their website that we have to choose bridge clininc on the DIAC website, where you check the status of your application, but I can't see where you do that, have you done it??? Su x
  19. Tania, Booked our Meds for 25th October, please update me. Thanks Su x
  20. Mandy I rang Maidenhead this AM, and booked our meds, when I told her what our CO said about Connor not having to have a chest X Ray, she said bring along a copy of the e mail.......So that will be good enough for them!!!! BTW Meds booked for 25 October, when are you doing yours?
  21. Mandy I sent my CO an e mail last night to ask about our 12 yr old, she has replied already, she says as he was under the age of 12 when we lodged, he does not need to have a chest x ray.......I have now sent an e mail asking if my now 16 year old needs the HIV blood test has he was only 14 when we lodged, I'm hoping she says he wont, Coz he has never had blood taken before and I think he's a bit nervous about it. ha ha
  22. Result,,,, I love poms in oz, Mandy I think you might have just saved me £380.00 Maidenhead here we come, we were ready to go to Brentwood Essex, where are you planning to settle in oz I owe you a big drink!!! thanks mate.

  24. Hi cat 4's Proof of daughters dependency is now met, got an e mail this AM asking for meds and police checks to be done, we have been given 70 days to do this.........which is a bit of a result, as I can now book the meds for half term, I know I am going to sound really thick, but what do I do now????, I know I have to make an appointment with a panel Doctor, But are there any forms I have to fill in,I will be going to London, as that is our nearest and I understand that they do the E Health thing......what does that me, Anlopa I know you said Manchester do it that way!!!, Sorry to be a bit dim, but need some help from you lovely lot xxxx
