I would not get too excited about oz especially Perth at the moment economy pretty miserable.

for the next few years stay clear of oz going down the pan comes to mind.

use the time to save as much as you can but until you have the post experience the visa is not an option

2008 was about the worst time to buy not your fault just timeing. I brought 2011 to 2012 when they had hit rock bottom so again timing.

so do I but want something cheap on flights and able to go for weekends.

yes investment we have another 2 but we want to sell this one and use the profit and buy a holiday home in Spain.

For me it turned out to be the best thing I had not gone to oz as the last 10 years been a very pleasant surprise in my fortune.

I am selling a one bed flat and I am totally shocked people are fighting over it offers are now exceeding 10% over asking price and the estate agent is telling me to let all potential buyers to go through as they think offers will go through roof. I have checked what is out there and there is nothing people are desperate as they only see property going higher in the south.

That is what I am saying if house prices are still increasing & you move with the intention of buying at a start of a recession its like buying into the stock market while its at its hight knowing the only way is down. My brother inlaw has never looked back best move he ever made.

You must agree though anyone who is considering coming over with no job & children and only start up costs should consider taking a step back for now. Should of said in earlier posts I have family there they went with £250000 now with there property wealth (6) worth in millions but that will change in a recession.

I would wait till the recession was over move, on your own maybe but with a family no chance if the recession is a bad one just remember the uk last 8 years.
