Diggerman
hello all, after some help! I am trying to contact some previous employers of mine in Australia in 2007 when i was on a working holiday visa, for employment proof for my 2nd working holiday visa application. I have the 3 fax numbers for the companies i worked for, but dont have a fax machine myself....so gave my letters to be faxed to my sister, who is a teacher, and has a fax machine in her school. basically my fax numbers i have are like as follows: for example a farm i worked for in perth goes 08 96 (perth, moora code) then ** ** ** (10 digits in total) my sister tells me the faxes failed to send as the number was not long enough. Is there a international country code or state code for fax numbers? i worked for companies in moora, perth, and townsville qld thanks for some advice! must be a simple answer! Cerberus1
Taking your example, you'd dial 00 61 8 96 ** ** ** 00 - for international calls from the uk 61 - for Australia Then 8 for Perth (dropping the initial 0) Then the rest of the number - 96 ** ** **
Diggerman
thanks for a speedy reply! does that apply for both telephone and fax numbers? I worked for a labour hire company in Townsville, SKILLED group. Their fax off their website is (07) 4726 3999. So that would make it 00 61 7 4726 39999 ? thanks
Cerberus1
Yes, that's for phone & fax, And yes, the Townsville number would be 00 61 7 4726 3999.
Diggerman
thanks very much, i dont know why i assumed fax numbers would not need an area or country code, but cheers you've solved that minor hicup!
