Newfie fan
Hi, My husband and I are looking at possibly renting a house in Kew. Could you please give me your feedback on the area, commuting to the CBD etc? Thanks!

Newfie fan
Kew is lovely but expensive, where in the CBD will you be working My husbands offices are in Bourke street. We have a dog so need a house with a grassy back garden and preferably close to a park. I still like the idea of St Kilda as living close to the sea really appeals
Tomdickanarry
Kew is a nice suburb. It's got a nice 'villagey' feel to the town centre and there are lots of restaurants and a couple of pubs. There are two tram lines running through the town that service the CBD but no trains. Trams to the CBD take approximately half an hour and cross Bourke Street. piglet1
My partner works in East Kew so I usually take tram 48 and will usually be around 30 mins to 45 mins from City to Kew Junction. St Kilda area is nice though. Guest prashyt
Kew is a lovely suburb to live. I have lived there for more than 2 years and i must say i miss it. The coffee shops on High St are nice, my favorite one being "COCOA". There is ample of public transport available, and its really easy to reach city at any time of day or night. The Night Rider drops at most location on high st, which is a bonus if you're partying on weekend. The Safeway ( now Woolies where i used to work ) has everything you need. Skinny Dog has some good stuff happening now and then... Awww i miss it. If you are looking to Rent, McLarens have lot of properties in that area.
