Impatient Aussie
Here goes, my caveat being I haven't lived there for almost a decade: Best (In no particular order) MCG and the Boxing Day Test. Australian Open. Formula 1. Lots of cheap golf courses. The Dandenongs (not the suburb!). And as a bonus at number six, nothing beats going to the AFL in the depths of a Melbourne winter! Ok so I like my sport  Worst Graffiti. I know its a plus for most but 40c days in peak summer do my head in. Bush fires, not exactly Melbourne as such but I remember as a kid seeing the sky go dark from my suburban backyard in 1983. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ash_Wednesday_fires) TV, it really is awful. Modern subdivision of the classic 1/4 acre block.
