Mr Fabricator Posted November 18, 2011 Share Posted November 18, 2011 Sorry for posting this in this section but couldnt find a general discussion section , When i arive in oz ( perth or darwin most probably ) i'll be looking for a camper van , 3 - 5 berth . apart from free adds and the like does anyone know of any proper showrooms , yards that specialise in campers , possibly got upto £40000 AUD and id rather get something thats going to take me on my travels and be home for upto a year rather than a 3K shed that'll fall to pieces in less than a month , thanks in advance , lee Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PositivePixie Posted November 19, 2011 Share Posted November 19, 2011 Can't help with actual physical car lots, we are getting ours off Gum Tree, but there are a far few in more of your price range (we have less funds) on carsales.com.au - mainly dealers, which from the photos have yards, so may be able to contact them through that and go see in person a range? Ive done a few camper conversions here in the uk for customers and friends , Im contemplating doing the same over there , However i wont have my workshop , any tools , lack of knowlage to source parts , lack of friends to do jobs i cant , no where to store and work on said vehicle and i dont want to spend the first 4-8 weeks of my new life in overalls getting my hands dirty , thats what im escaping from ! haha . looks like a LWB sprinter is just the ticket tho , enough room without being cramped , they last forever , ( i use a contractors merc with 550000 miles , whats that in KM's ?? ) fuel consumption should be acceptable and i can drive it into the city , I can sling my surf board inside or on top but where to put the motorbike ????
