yakkay
Hello Can anyone help answer this please......I am looking to apply for a partner 309/100 visa in a short while. I understand that as we have been together for 5 years it may be likely that we would get a permanent visa straight away hopefully. When we move over from the uk to australia we intend to live a nomadic life and plan to buy a caravan to live in and travel around to work -time to exit the rat race !! My concern is that we would need to have a permanent address and some restrictions may limit our ability to move around. Does anyone know if this is the case ? I'd be grateful for some input as I'm reallly worried.....
Guest The Pom Queen
I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem but I'm not an agent. Why not use a mail forwarding company then you would have a permanent address http://www.sosmail.com.au
Peach
There are no restrictions on where or how you live. The only caveat is that if for some reason you end up on a 309 visa, you will need to provide an address to be contacted on after the first two years is up.. wellieboots
The only reason you need to give them an address is to receive your second stage paperwork if you are granted a temp visa (309) initially. As you've been together for 5 years, this is unlikely but even if it did happen, is there anywhere in Aus you could use as a postal address such as a friend or relative?
