Guest The Pom Queen
When you travel abroad do you take out travel insurance? I know the stats say that 20% of holiday makers travel without insurance but is it really that important?
pluto
Hi I always travel with insurance and glad we do. Once I needed an operation and once my daughter was very ill with an infection, both times our travel insurance paid in full. My daughters 10 day stay in hospital plus care and medication was over $8,000. You just never know :wubclub:
Guest
We always take it out. I'd rather pay the £50 for the cover than not have it. Having medical and personal stuff covered is usually the norm for us.
fleabo
Always. I don't have enough savings for an emergency medivac. And if your luggage gets held up, you get a few bucks to buy some new undies.

MARYROSE02
Even on a direct flight with no stop over or re-fuelling stop you could become ill, plane makes emergency landing.
