Guest KellyDave
Hi all, Does anyone know if I can take my Cocker Spaniel bitch when I go to Oz on a 457 visa?? We did originally want to go permanently on a skilled occupation visa for permanent migration, but we don't fit the criteira so we are having to go on a 457 and are hoping to gain permanent residence when we get there. But as its not officially permanent, can we take our poochie? She is only 6 months old now so she'll be just over 1 yr old when we go, shes fully insured, microchipped, all vaccines and jabs done etc and she'll have a passport. Cheers, Kelly
Guest The Pom Queen
Hi Kelly Of course you can take her, as long as the passport is done so that if it doesn't work out your little one won't need to spend 6 months in quarantine. Kate
Guest KellyDave
Coolio. Thanks. I didn't know if it was different as it's not a permanent visa and I could never go without her. Although we don't intend on coming back.
JoandJon
She'll still have to go into quarantine in Australia - but it's only for 1 month (only.....) Check out the Aqis site, they tell you all about it http://www.daff.gov.au/aqis/cat-dogs
