zoranl Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 Dear people of PomsInOz forum, I am new to this forum, please be gentle with me. Also I take this opportunity to say hello to you all. I would request some help. The situation is like this. My wife and I applied for 176 family sponsor visa on 23.08.2010. We have uploaded all the required documents into the eVisa system and patiently waited for anything to happen. Furthermore, we conducted the medicals (police checks also uploaded in the second half of January 2011) in the first days of January 2011 and they have been sent to Sydney. Medicals arrived in Sydney on 11.01.2011 and they have been referred further. Today, I have checked the online status and it says medicals finalised for myself, but for my wife they require HIV blood test. Maybe the status will change into finalised for my wife also in a day or two because all the required tests have been sent to Sydney at the same time for me and for her in the same envelope. Moreover, from this day on the online status for our application is "Application being processed further". What do you suggest? Should I email DIAC asking them for the HIV blood test requirement for my wife? Should I contact the panel doctor so they can confirm that everything has been sent to Sydeny? The "Application being processed further" comes up and changes whenever anyone looks at your file - so it probably changed when the Meds people updated your Medical records (the people who check them are separate specialists rather than the main CO teams). I think this is the email: health.strategies.unit@immi.gov.au I imagine that your wifes details will get updated soon - if not and as you say you have sent the HIV tests maybe contact the health people (there was a link to get their email address in the system) and aks if they can confirm they have the test and if there is a reason it has not been updated yet?
