The Broughtons
Hi Annette, I'm a primary school teacher heading to Melbourne in 4 weeks time. I am going on a skilled independent 136 visa. I didn't meet the criteria for teaching at first but looking at your post you should be okay. Aussie teachers spend 4 years at uni, I did a BA hons and straight into the classroom. To make up for this I got my MA! Check out this site Welcome to Teaching Australia they do the skills assessments for teachers who want to migrate to Australia becuase on a skilled visa you have to have your skills assessed and recognised before you do the visa application. If I can shed any more light on this let me know, I'll try and help! Felicity
