Starting School

HI All,

Can anyone help me with a bit of info: We are moving back to the UK and my daughter who will be 4 in Dec. I think she will start school in the following Sept 2011 ? am i right, and how do I go about enrolling her in schooL??

I just wrote to the school i wanted my son to start at, as we were out of the catchment area. I guess you would ring the school and ask about their admissions policy, i think we then just filled in some forms, but as he is now 12 it was a while ago lol.

He was 4 in the June and started in the following September so was one of the youngest in his year.

Hi, she is eligible for two & half hours a day nursery, usually within the school setting, then go into reception Sept 11, to get a reception place, you go to school, fill out the forms and send to local education authority, places are not given on a first come first served basis, but on catchment, sibling's etc, and forms usually have to be in by April/May 2011, confirmation and open days are usually in June.

 

Goodluck, the house will feel so quiet........plenty of tissues recommended, for when you see your little one in sept, wearing their school uniform.
