virtual_bajwa Posted July 21, 2010 Share Posted July 21, 2010 Caretaker period leading up to the Federal election On 17 July 2010, the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon Julia Gillard MP, announced that a federal election would be conducted on 21 August 2010 and as such the Australian Government has assumed a caretaker role.
