k8bug79
Hi, I was looking at one of the panel doctors website today and it says there are different costs for temporary and permanant visa medicals. I automatically started totting up the permanant visa charges as we are married and have dependant children we are pretty certain I will bypass the temprorary visa and go staright onto the permanant. But then I realised that the way I have to apply is for the temporary and permanant at the same time and then they decide which I get. So which medical do I have to do? Is it the temp or permanant? Is it safer just to do the permanant? Thanks
emmaroo
Never heard of this before, my o/h went for spousal medical and it was the same as any other visa medical. Emma

Peach
Don't quote me, but the temporary medical is for people applying for a 457 temporary visa - which has less tests. The visa you're applying for is for permanent residence in Australia. For different medical types: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1163i.pdf
