Ozzieland
Hi does anyone know if (fingers crossed) my hubbys occupation is on the new smp are we able to lodge visa same time as state sponsorship, my agent said they may stop this but they dont really know yet?? Hi, I too have read somewhere on this forum that they will not be allowing applicants to change from one visa to another. However in your case, since your hubby's occupation is not on the new SOL, the SMP also becomes part of your eligiblity criteria. To apply for a visa before obtaining state sponsorship, you have to first meet all eligibility criterias. For e.g. If for whatever reason (please, I do not hope this) you are unable to obtain sponsorship from any of the states, you cannot apply for a visa.
