Which Bank to open

Hello All

 

Didn't know where to put this thread as I would like an impartial view on which bank you opened before you moved to Oz and if they we good when you got there and where they able to help you with morgage, credit cards ect.

Hi, there has been a thread very similar to this one on recently so you might like to try and find that one to give you some more info. We opened up with ANZ whilst still in the UK and then validated it once we arrived. We have been very satisfied with their service and now have two accounts with them, two car insurances, contents insurance and are just about to start our mortgage with them.

I love Bankwest too! I have the zero transaction act, plus 2 savers and mortgages with them!

We opened an on-line account with ANZ prior to our move, we have now been here over 3 years and are stillusing them. The account we have carries a monthly fee of $5, we have never been hit with any other sudden fees and their customer service is always great.
