Guest stephdavidandtheboys
Hi there Was wondering if anyone out there can give me some information. I am a learning disabilities nurse currently working with children with a wide range of special needs and disabilities. My Husband and I hope to move out with our 3 children next June to Victoria. We plan to live in Eatern Melbourne. While I wasn't planning to work for a while, I know that my qualification isn't actually recognised in the state of Victoria. I don't want to just throw 17 years of nursing away. Can you advise me if there are any areas my expertise would be recognised and also if I could complete any studies to use my qualifications. Hope to hear from lots of you:) Many thanks Steph
ali
I do know that someone recently came to Mental Health with Learning Disabilities experience, but had to work as an EN. This is in WA - don't know if this was our hospital or state wide. What about contacting the nursing board for advice or the ANMC? Ali
