koala09 Posted March 26, 2010 Share Posted March 26, 2010 Hi, My husband has just found out that they have to leave him go from his carpet fitting job because things are just to quiet at the moment. We are worried because we only lodged our visa's on 4/2, does anyone know if this will affect our visa in anyway. He already has a part time job somewhere else but not carpet fitting. Does he have to be in the trade thats on our visa or does it not matter now that we have applied. Graemsay Posted March 26, 2010 Share Posted March 26, 2010 I've got a feeling that experience is frozen at the time of the application, so if your husband was employed (solidly) up until 4/2 then there shouldn't have been a problem with losing his job now. I applied for my visa when I was right on the edge of the 12 out of 24 months in paid employment requirement, and got it. (In fact I might have been a week or two on the wrong side of it.)
