harrybhmra Posted March 17, 2010 Share Posted March 17, 2010 i have done my ACS assessment and its 2231-79 ICT Recent Graduate. now this time i m claiming points for MODL coz i m working as network/security administrator handling SONICWALL FIREWALL, CISCO SWITCHES AND SYMANTEC ENDPOINT PROTECTION, SYMANTEC MAIL SECURITY FOR MS EXCHANGE(organized in a letter as well). i got my refernce letter done from my employer. i m confuse shall i have to send pay slips with reference letter or its fine. also apply individually is good or i go thru agent. Welshtone Posted March 17, 2010 Share Posted March 17, 2010 Hi Need much more information - e.g. have you applied for and been granted a 485 visa? If not have you applied for a 485 that is still under consideration and when did you apply for it? MODL points are difficult for recent IT graduates. You may score the 10 points for Australian Work Experience but you may not get the 15 MODL points. It would require ACS to re-assess you and recognise the 12 months of specialist experience. I think you should get professional advice from an on-shore agent who is familiar with the ACS requirements in relation to recent graduates and claiming MODL points. Welshtone Posted March 17, 2010 Share Posted March 17, 2010 Hi Mary MODL points can still be scored by on-shore GSM applicants who held, or had applied for a 485 visa prior to 08th February 2010 and who then apply for the permanent 88X visa by 31 December 2012.
