stargazysky
I can't seem to find many jobs advertised for Civil Engineers in Tas. I've searched all the usual job websites for work but can't seem to find much. I like the look of Tasmania, being from Cornwall it looks very similar. But if there's no work for my hubby there's not much point in looking  Has anybody got any suggestions of websites to look on or people in Tasmania to contact to find out about Engineering jobs for him. His specialism is in Water/Drainage Design and Highways/Roads. Any info greatly appreciated. Lou x

Hi Lou, Have you looked at Jobs.tas.gov.au - Careers with the Tasmanian Government These are the links for the individual Councils in Tasmania - may be worth contacting them in case they know of any vacancies occurring shortly: http://www.lgat.tas.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=225 Hydro Tasmania also has civil engineers Hydro Tasmania - Home Vivien

Skani
Hi again Lou, Three links I should have added - these are corporations which took over water infrastructure from the local councils in July last year. Southern Water Ben Lomond Water Cradle Mountain Water The local councils still have responsibility for (most) local roads: the Tasmanian government and Federal government for others (it's all very confusing!).
