Hi we are moving to OZ - adelaide in feb 2010, on the 475 visa.

My profession is in accounting, and my partners is in sales and marketing.

Does anybody have any good pointers on what is the best part/area of south australia to look for this type of job?

Well all i can say is that other than the obvious....Adelaide cbd,all the other towns seem quite small dont they? Depends where you want to live as well i suppose?

As Pabs said really.Stick close to the city .

There are smaller towns cities in SA but a little remote - such as Port Augusta or at the other end of SA - Mt Gambier.

 

From there is hard to recommend a suburb.......what suits one will not suit another,discussions of best areas in Adelaide / north or south can create some heated discussions :wink:

I would suggest registering with some agencies when you arrive, both Hays and Robert Walters are pretty good. Both are base on Grenfell Street in the CBD.

Hello Briggs

 

Good to see someone else with the same surname heading to Oz. Do you mind me asking for you timeline for your 475 visa, because we are still waiting for our 475 family sponsored visa to be granted, everything been done and our p/c and meds done in Nov / Dec 08.

 

Have been chasing ASPC at DIAC to grant visa bu they claim it is holded up due to changes in 2009. Meds and p/c we have been told shall be extendedas now over 12 mths.

 

Any information useful.
