Clackkit
For those that have taken citizenship or know of someone that has - Do you know the time frame between passing the test and applying for citizenship that it was granted and then how long before your ceremony? Thanks
Guest The Pom Queen
Once you have passed your test you can apply the same day, we did we took all the paperwork with us. Once you have put in your application it varies we heard back after 4 weeks saying we had been accepted but that we weren't citizens until we had our ceremony and did our vows. This part is all down to the local council to when they next have a ceremony and a vacancy, some it can be a month others it can be 4 months. Guest vb2
longest bit for us was waiting for our test appointment - we applied in March, got our test date beginning of june, did test applied straight away for citizenship, then was invited to a ceremony to pick up our certificates and trees at the end of June. From memory cost us about $250 each
