THORPES
Hi My husband is already over in Australia. Myself and 2 boys are moving over end of October. I was wondering if you turned up at the airport a few hours before the plane was to take off and went to the ticket desk, would you be able to get cheap flights on that flight? My dad says they would rather the plane go than give discounts. Is this correct or has anyone done this? Thanks Jill
tracy123
Hi Jill I don't know the answer but when watching shows like the one with easyjet etc they always seem to have the prices sky high when people need an emergency ticket. I guess people who need a ticket asap are easy picking. When i wanted a quick flight to Australia i went on the web found a site (sorry can't remember which one it was) that did cancellation tickets so i picked up a cheap flight Nigel in OZ is the best one to ask
Guest proud2beaussie
Extremely unlikely that you would get a cheaper fare by turning up at the airport, there is no such thing as standby fares on long haul international routes. If you are looking at travelling in October then I would suggest booking as soon as possible.
